want some ideas

well i have some money coming my way about 150 bucks give or take. but i have a G3-SG1 and i want to upgrade it a bit so whats the best thing i can do to my gun with the money i have.

That's a tough one. What do you want? Personally, I'd buy more lowcaps, or get a metal body. To me, the feel is much more important than hardcore performance.

well i want me gun to run well before i start doing anything really big to the body but thats me really.

Spring and metal bushings.

ooo shit sorry one thing i have only one gun and i need to use it in and outdoor. could i do gears and motor for 150.

Mantelope January 26th, 2006 23:33

Yeah, but what's the point? You're going to notice zero change in performance. Better motors only shine when the power source is limited, i.e. mini batteries. I assume you're using a large in the SG1, so you will notice just about ZERO change from motor. Gears, you'll only notice anything different if you go with high-speed gears. That's the only reason to put different gears in a stock gun. Unless you specifically want a higher ROF and the asscociated damage it'll do to your mechbox, gears are a bad idea. A new motor is a bad idea regardless.

I say...
110 spring + bushings = $50
Silent piston head, piston and spring guide = $100

That should do you for durability too...
