seeking Suggestion plano trunk divider

Here goes

I got a plano sportman trunk 1819 XXL which serves as both home storage and carrying case for when I go play. I store my gun and backup vertically on the sides which all gears and etc go in between like a nice sandwich.

In a youtube video I saw that it comes with a divider(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsMkkXob05I) !!! which got me thinking, is there a way for me to get the same vertical dividers or can I build my own horizantal divider so that my guns are on top and gear at the bottom?

has anyone tried something like this before? if so how did you do it?

if you are skilled at wood/metal work you can build anything.

The easiest way is to make a frame to go inside your box then build a tray to sit on top of it for you guns.
Make it as fancy as you want with cut foam to your guns outline and all if thats what you like.

me not being handy with either option is the issue. :( do you think homedepot or rona can do such a job?

No they don't do the build for you.

How much would you be willing to invest into this project?

Materials would be around (Guessing) $40 for a basic frame and tray plus someone's time to build it all. Just for a basic set up like you are looking for will be at least $100.00. as you add more fancy stuff your price keeps going up.

you could buy the pink foam sheets from the hardware store, and then just cut it to shape/size with a knife and paint it.

If the trunk is just like the one in the clip I'd use a hot wire to cut grooves in the 3 fixed dividers so the guns would slot in there.

Then I'd save the cut out bits to chock the guns in place for transport.

i did not know they actually sell these separately :) I will visit canadian tire tmrw. Thanks a bunch.

I am sure a non-handy person like me should be able to do a job like that.
