GHK G5 or WE SCAR-L

As the title states.

Leaning more towards the SCAR since I have 2 other WE rifles which uses stanag for all of them so SCAR would benefit.

SCAR has a nice metallic bolt sound which is really great.

G5 is light and compact and kick is nice because of lightness.

You're probably saying I've already answered my own question, but really I'm looking for people's opinions on both guns.

G5 will run better. GHK mags are arguably the best gbbr mags on the market. I have heard WE guns are/can be trash after a while. G5 sometimes the receiver can crack if it's an early version.

I'd go G5 personally but whatever you think is best

The only pro for the WE is that it's based on a real gun where as the G5 is not.

Yeah, overall the G5 reliability is what is putting me on the fence for it. But the fact that it's not based on a real gun somehow negates that for me, and that's personal preference of course.

Also, bolt charging for the G5 sounds really plasticky, which is evident because it's mostly plastic. Even though you can mp5 slap it makes it less appealing because of the plastic sound (which is why I haven't folded to any of the WE G39 series rifles).

The G5 is cheaper overall, but it will quickly add up when buying mags for it regardless if they're the most gas efficient (I run HPA anyways).

Then get the SCAR. In fact, get age verified so you can save some money if that's a big factor.

Yes, trying to get a response from age verifiers in my area is very slow. I realize I will probably save money buying used, but really, I don't mind buying new since it's a clean slate.

Even though it seems I'm incredibly biased to the SCAR, I'm looking for uncontestable evidence that the G5 will trump the SCAR. :p

Is this a serious question?

GHK MASTER RACE.

Get a G5 and don't look back.

Top hardest kicking GBB, apart from the VFC 417 GBB.

Even when something breaks, it costs $5.00 to fix (i.e hammer from Samoon). Plus once you get a set of mags, you can move on to their other platforms (M4, T21, etc.)

Anyways if you're bored of it eventually, you can just bullpup it.

Yep, the exact place I'm thinking of getting the G5 has those kits as well.
I understand the modularity of the mags - it's one of the factors in the SCAR as all my gbbr's are WE.

Still sitting on that fence. Really don't know where to fall.

Ultimately, I will probably get both at one point - but the G5 rarely comes back in stock anywhere in Toronto often; score G5. :p
