Daytona gun equipment
 

Hey all,

I am making a Daytona M249, but I'm kinda in the dark about the equipment I should get. I have the donor body, and I know where to source an engine....

But what should I get for a regulator, hose and tank?

Would anybody with in depth knowledge be able to spoon feed me some links to the appropriate equipment that's available in Canada? I really want to make sure I'm getting top quality and reliable stuff after all.

So, while helpful to people that have any inclination about what ANY of that means, it's not so helpful to someone who has no idea what is going on.

I need TWO regulators now?

What else do I need in combination with this? Its a 68/4500 PSI with a SLP Regulator as the thread said....but I have no idea what the other regulator I need is >.>

As well, 6mm bore and 140 rated psi lines....every single line on this website doesn't include a bore, and all say 3000-4500 psi....

No, you need one regulator, and one tank.

Tank size is up to you, and what you want to haul around; you'll need more then one in any case.

I'd go with a Ninja LPR, and a Ninja Tank (CF) because of weight savings.

So the ninja LPR...attaches directly to a tank that DOESN'T already have a SLP regulator on it like the one I posted?

It lowers the 4500 psi tank to usable 120-140 psi?

Or Do I need the tank with the SLP reg that I posted AND a ninja LPR?

Then you just adjust the PSI based on your DG with the regulator. I was running 120 PSI on my DG M4 back in 2013.

Best to join a local paintball group on fb, and pick up some used CF tanks, cheapest option vs spending $200+ on one tank, lol.

Alright cool, so the tank itself needs a SLP regulator on it, then I can plug the Ninja LPR on it, with a big bore line.

What is this I see about "Fill stations"? Dont I just take the tank to any paintball shop and they fill it? Or do I need a fill station so that they can?

Technically, yes to two regulators...
Your tank will have a regulator ON it, to bring it down from 3/4.5K PSI down to say, 800-900 PSI for regular tanks.. and something like ~300 for SLP
The second regulator (Ninja LPR/Redline etc..) screws onto the tank regulator and bob's your auntie.

I've used the Ninja LPR without issues, any Redline or Palmers will do.

If you want to refill from home, go ahead for a fill station. They get pricey/time consuming quick.
I had a Benjamin hand pump, basically a bicycle pump on roids. Otherwise it's an easy ~$500+ to fill up at home.
Any paintball joint can fill up, usually $1 per PSI or such.

Wait what? $1 per psi...but my tank would be 4500 psi......... 1$ per 1000 psi?

So you'd be charge $4.50 most likely per fill. Some places are $2 flat rate, or $5, etc.. everywhere is a little different.

This is why I invested in the hand pump, over the years of using it, would've added up past ~$250 easily. Plus travel time, etc..
But it's not for everyone.

Not sure on the calculations for Daytona. Also depends on how many cubic inches is in your tank.
IE the one you listed is a 68 Cubic inch.

If you know the guys, they'll do it for free, if you don't it's $5 a fill. (Defcon) badlands, rippleindustries, next i'm sure do it too, for the same price.

You can just buy a big ass scuba tank, that'll fill your tanks like 10 times, it's about $20 to fill at a scuba shop, tank itself is 100-200 used/new, but you'll need the tank filler thing from ninja, $60?
