Buying in Hong Kong

Hey I'm right now in Hong Kong, looking to get some Airsoft Pistol back in Canada...

Anybody ever did it?

You can order in this website. But the gun must be over 366FPS.

always curious about this.. is it possible to bring back a bit of parts for airsoft in the checked baggage? Do you need to declare it?
I won't be bringing back any frames, strictly safety levers, grips, misc stuff.

Taken from the importing topic

Yes. The good news is that most parts and accessories, including most magazines, can be successfully imported by individuals without requiring a BFL. Examples of things you CANNOT import:

AEG magazines with fake cartridges (i.e. P90, G36, SG 552 mags)
Frames, receivers, and metal bodies
Suppressors and silencers
Prohibited-length outer handgun barrels (i.e. USP Compact, Glock 26)
Hand and 40mm grenades that look real

Examples of things you CAN import:
Magazines for AEGs and GBBs without fake cartridges
Outer barrels for most guns
Inner barrels of any type
Handgun slides
Flash suppressors
Scopes, red dot sights, iron sights, lasers
Rail systems and scope mounts
Springs, bushings, gears, pistons, or other gearbox parts
Batteries, BBs, loading tools
Helmets, goggles, body armor, tactical vests, camouflage

Most things you can bring back don't need to be declared (Just because you have a gear or spring obviously doesn't make it suspicious) but something like slides and magazines could be declared as airsoft parts just to be safe

Whoa hold the phone, likely a semantic issue since I believe we're on the same page, but everything you buy abroad has to be declared (in that you add it up and it goes toward your personal exemption on your declaration card).

Just making sure.

I brought back M4 GBB mags and a M92F slide and did not run into any problems. Did not want to declare as it was not a firearm per-say. Perhaps I got lucky...I even asked the lady at the check in desk if I need to declare the items so the HK security can inspect it and she said no, even when I told her it looks identical to firearm parts and all.

But then again, it's so random when you leave the airport whether they check your stuff or not, especially when the checkouts now are from the machine. If they inspect your luggage best got the right paper work with you. Still think bringing a pistol back is risky, even if you take it apart.

Do NOT bring anything airsoft related (unless it's really harmless like a spring) in your carry on or it will be seized if you pass trough an American/Canadian airport. We had our pistol mags and slide seized (and supposedly destroyed) at Miami airport.
