Jtac custom dummy plates
 

First I just want to tell that´s it´s my first review


Since a certain time I was looking to get some dummy / training plate for my 6094. The main problems was that I need some XL sized plates and those are not available in most dummy brand, and pretty rare in training plate. And I didnt want to do home made plate. I came accross a topic here about dummy/training plates and somebody mentionned JTAC-Custom from UK who were doing foam dummy plates.



After a visit on their Facebook page, I decided to contact them to know if they make XL plates. After a positive response, I had a couple email exchange with them and received a shipping quote the same day.

I have finaly placed and order on March 18th, they offer Bank transfer and paypal.

March 31st, I have received my package.

Well packaged, and pretty fast shipping from UK.



The plates are a perfect fit in my XL plate carrier, they just needs a little push to go all the way inside.

I have choose the 15mm thickness and the rigidity is just perfect. They bend enough to be confortable and are strong enough to make the pc straight.

Plates and Side Plates are available in 10mm, 15mm and 20mm thickness in all real SAPI plate dimensions of height and width:

Extra Small - 184 x 292 mm (7¼ x 11½ in)
Small - 222 x 298 mm (8¾ x 11¾ in)
Medium - 241 x 318 mm (9½ x 12½ in)
Large - 260 x 337 mm (10⅛ x 13¼ in)
Extra Large - 280 x 356 mm (11 x 14 in)

Weights are very light and as an idea a pair of medium dummy SAPI's with side plates is under 4oz (approx 3.75 oz or 105 grammes)



Price is around 60$ cdn shipped at your door for a pair.

You can also make them custom engraved for 18,50$ ( once your logo is in it's free for the other orders) or free with 10+ pairs. Possible deal for group order too.

Just got my set today as well, they're awesome. Got medium plates in 20mm thickness. Sooo much more comfortable than my home foam plate job. Also, kudos to J-Tac for adding the canada flag to both our sets of plates. Nice touch.

I know the foam is closed cell, but is it the neoprene water proof foam?

It's not a neoprene type foam, it's a type of closed cell, cross linked, polyethlene foam foam which will bend and form a shape when warm which I've found ideal for plates as they will bend round a body shape. A lot more comfortable than wearing a real plate.
