DG'ing or P* M14?

Hey guys,

I've been looking around for awhile without any luck. Is there anyways of getting a DG or P* kit for an M14? Are they in existence? I've seen one person who made a custom shell for a fusion engine, but I do not have the technical knowledge or tools to do so.

Anyone know the best way of attacking this? Does such a thing exist, or are there ways to get a fusion engine working in an M14, without CNC'ing a whole new shell?

For DG pointers..:

M14 Kit for DG is planned, however I wouldn't count on it for a long time. Will be designed to fit the G&P M14 body only at this point.

Edit:

For P* I don't think it would fit into the M14, you would require a lot of work to do so. If it's even possible it would cost quite a pretty penny. You may be better just getting a TM M14 and pimpin' it out.

Check out Bingo Airsoft, he has installed a few P*s into M14's

Yeah I've heard about those, but he's in the States, if I'm not mistaken. Can you legally import those?

GBBR is DG distributor in Canada, Justin is the manufacturer. The Scar Daytona was GBBR idea. So what you see world wide for DG Scars was all him. :)

You can legally import the gear box.. The whole thing would require paperwork. Most likely best for you to PM the guy.

You could DMR my DG if you bought it hehe

Ooh okay. Wow, totally didn't know that haha. That's sweet.

Yeah, I knew about the gearboxes, but I'd prefer to get the whole thing.

What would be the best way to get a hold of him?

Which one is a "better" system? I understand PolarStar is the newer system.. but as for things like reliability, cost, "realism" (kick back, etc), what one would you recommend in general?

Lots of debate between to two. Do a Google search and 91747281910 threads come up.

GBBR DG has gone through mud, water, several users, abused the shit out it and it still shoots strong. After several months he finally cleaned it.. Lot's of sand and shit was in it when we cleaned it out. Pretty sure if any electrical gun sumbmerged in water be toast.

Anyways enough about ranting. Reason I choose DG of p* is for the recoil and realism. Same reason I wen GBB instead of AEG. Really your call.

If you're building a sniper I'd recommend a p*, else, lmg , rifle, dmr, SMG. DG FTW!

Ask cobra. He has a lot of p* exp.

I was under the impression p* has the higher ROF while DG has the harder kick.

Am I wrong?

Cobrajr122 February 21st, 2014 19:07

P* vs DG is a moot debate.

They are 2 very unique systems that can not be compared to the point where one is better than the other.

It is all up to the user and what they are looking for in an ASG.

Thanks for the info BioRage.

Cobra, if I was looking for über realism, good reliability, and ease of use (comparatively speaking), and for a m14(if I can get one), what would be a smart approach?

I'm my teams integrated marksman. I play on the front lines with the rest of my team. I'm tired of the AEG platform, and fell in love with Gbbrs. I'm just looking at how I can get increased performance, and a more realistic platform

Cobrajr122 February 21st, 2014 20:16

If you are looking for a GBBR and realism, then a DG is the way to go. However, to my knowledge an M14 DG kit does not exist.

A P* will be far more consistent and tunable then a DG, but it is NOT a GBBR and will not add to realism, and again - no M14 kit. however, because P*s have a modular design they can be easily modified to fit in one. BingoAirsoft has done it, just google him.

m14

Does anyone have photos of the M14's in question? P or the other?
Thanks

John
