As long as you don't involve a real steel receiver or a prohib length barrel I don't think you have any issues.

Good thing 0.45cal is bigger than the OD of airsoft inner barrels. I'd hate to have to bore out a real steel barrel to fit an airsoft inner barrel.

Your frame will snap from the weight of the real barrel. This is very expensive and not worth it.

Do not import real gun parts, let alone real machine gun parts, specially until you are 18 (or 21 for some States). Even then, you're asking for more attention than you need. "Why does he want a banned machine gun barrel? Does he have one?"

If you really must have real wood and such for your Marui tommy gun, go buy them from www.marstar.ca (they are in Canada). You must be 18 to buy from there.
Still, you're wasting your cash.

Erik I've already looked into this (and confirmed with Kedirkin), and the Thompson is a prohibited weapon in Canada. No real steel parts will cross the border if it's obviously labelled as a Thompson part.

Besides, why bother get a real steel barrel? The Marui barrel is already metal...and if you wanted to convert to a 1927 16" barrel, your best bet is to machine it yourself.

It's more the legality of all this that is a risk. The mechanical problems are not important, they are just very expensive.
But a criminal record can really screw your life.

I think Vondnick machined a new barrel for one of his old tompson. He made it to fit the vertical grip Ã* la mafia style...

It was very nice!

You could contact him for tips.
