Good camo list for those building a set.
I am trying to build a cool indoor set and was looking around for some "different" kinds of camo that no one would really have . I stumbled on this Wikipedia -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...flage_patterns It has all countries with tons of different colors and patterns. Its worth a look and if some how you can find these online or at a store you're golden. |
For an indoor or urban style camo, I'd stick with something transitional like multicam, and avoid black at all costs. If you want something a little more geared for those for those environments (not that they'll work better), check out 'A-Tacs AU'. Both patterns are common and readily available in an assortment of high quality and affordable gear.

Well I like being different than everyone else. I saw the Kenyan army camo and if I can find it, thats what i'll be getting. I'm not sure how hard it will be to find though.

Latvian NBS (latpat). Good luck.
|
if you like being different, nobody wears arpat anymore LOL
anyway, arpat does a legit awesome job of blending in with unpainted drywall like that found at XT in winnipeg. As much as you can blend into dark areas at XT, arpat seems to have done the best job. |
I googled ARPAT, as I've never heard of it. Is that UCP? I've never heard anyone refer to it as ARPAT before.
...And if I have, I guess I assumed it was Arid Cadpat, haha. |
A set of Latvian NBS would be most nice indeed. Some day......

ARPAT (army pattern) or UCP is the actual name of the pattern
"ACU" is a style of uniform It's like referring specifically to woodland camo only as "BDU's" |

I know about the ACU thing, despite referring to UCP as ACU from time to time. It's often a case of thinking "don't say ACU, don't say ACU, don't say ACU", and then saying ACU by accident, because it's all you're thinking. :P |

something similar to UCP but different is the US Air Force's camo. I'm not sure what the pattern is called, but its like a UCP coloured tiger stripe.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...atch/007-5.jpg I really like the desert camo the mexican army uses. the guy on the right is sporting it. http://static4.demotix.com/sites/def...ty_1066454.jpg |
Do yourself a favor. Follow two rules when buying camo, and put both above looking good/being different, on the priority list.
#1: Get camo that works well, and is versatile for the area(s) your playing. If you don't do this, you'll be depressed at how badly your gear works, and the money you wasted. #2: Get gear that is readily available. If the camo you're wearing is hard to find, or doesn't have a variety of gear your wearing, you'll regret it. It'll be all shipping time, low end crap, uncomfortable to wear, lack of versatility, and unable to find crap. Trust me. |
Well I started reading this thread, one page lead to another and I found this!
http://www.hyperstealth.com/CUEPAT/CUEPAT-C2P-1.jpg Holy S**t balls, I want this!! It's called CUEPAT and it's made by a little Cdn company called Hyperstealth |
This stuff is referred to as ABU (airforce battle uniform)
