Looking for a review of a cybergun SiG 556

I'm looking for a review for this gun. For example ease of upgrades, reliability accuaracy and overall performance. I'm new to the sport, so currently the visual appeal is prompting my choices. Also, the use of an easily found mag choice and not a hard to find proprietary mag is also appealing. As I currently know very little about the sport I have no intention on spending the money until I've done my homework. With that said any help that any of you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Do not buy!! I had one for 1 month and the slide snapped into pieces while firing.

That is not very inspiring. Any possibility that the one you bought was a lemon?

That's a good question. Like I said, I'm new to the sport. I thought Cybergun was the manufacturer. I assume that since you're asking that they typically rebrand?

Cybergun rebrands. They don't manufacture anything.

My few seconds of GoogleFu failed to find the OEM :(

Cybergun 556 it's made by either CYMA or King arms low end model but most likely it will be a CYMA rebrand. I saw a KA Sig556 side by side with the CYMA everything is identical until you open the gear box, the KA version has better parts, builds and Shimmed while the CYMA version looks like a very noobish style assembly with lots of brown grease, thinner wires and generic low end parts.

WHOOOAAAA I'm sorry I was really tired last night! I read sig 226 (gbbp)
I also own the cyber gun (ics) cammando 556, the gun is good the parts that are metal feel nice but the plastic is very plasticky.... Squeaky but gun shoots really well, semi doesn't work on it anymore though just auto.

If you read Chinese, the Taiwanese website armscoolnet.com always have reviews of these ACM guns (not the ones made in HK). Most of the reviews reported that the guns are made of low grade metal and will "decompose" automatically by themselves after 2 or 3 years, even without much use. And the internals are far from "reasonable usuage" before they break.

With the big decrease in airsoft price as a whole, it is strongly recommended to stay with the more reputable brands to avoid disappointment.

So, its sounding like unless the SiG 556 that I've been looking at is a KA rebrand I might want to avoid this gun as an entry into the sport. Thanks for the help!
