Are Flashlights Practical?
 

I was thinking about purchasing a flashlight from evike, but I was wondering if flashlights do work in cqb fields and are not just for looks. So if I flash someone it will disorient them, and not just give away my position. The indoor field is all well lit. Also, if you agree is a strobe function worth the extra $15.

Flashlights are indeed useful.They are useful also to light up your bbs so you see where they go.
It's convenient for instance when setting the hopup.

First of all, praactical or not, you'll never have one if you order from Evike.

Secondly, where do you play? They're good for indoor CQB games with low-lighting, but not so good for outdoor games, obviously. Even night games outdoors, where some may opt for NVGs or sights, only see a little use of flashlights, since they're limited in range and make you more of a target than what they allow you to see. They also weigh a good amount.

They do look tacticool though! If you want one for looks, they don't weigh much without batteries. Keep in mind though that they reflect light, so even if it's off, it'll make you an easy spot if the sunlight catches it.

The flashlight would be mounted on a rail. So is the strobe worth the extra $15, and is 170 lumens enough power. I play at ultimate airsoft.

Flashlights are key in MOUT style operations.

This may just be me but I wouldn't touch that light with a 10 foot poll. For $40 with those kind of features I would expect sub par electronics and optics, and also the fact that people say there isn't a working tail switch for it would make me err on the side of caution.

If you want a good weapon light that won't break the bank but will be extremely durable in the long run I would suggest an Armytek Viking S. If you want to get a little more fancy you could get an Armytek Predator or a Klarus XT11. There are plenty of good options under $100 and paying a little extra for a quality light is something you won't regret.

No! You don't need to bind your friends with a 300 lumens light.

That is very true and ultrafire makes great lights. I just don't trust evike, at all.

I've bought all my Ultrafire's from DX.com. Shipping can be a bit slow but the price is right.
