Best Pistol and WHY.

This weekend I played at our field and for the first time I could see where the pistol would totally come in handy. (93Tsi nice work in the woods). I would have dropped my M4 and run it if I could have. It seemed like for this game any AEG suddely became the boat anchor.

So, here is my question:

What is the best pistol for:
(Not in this order)

1) Least Screwing around. I have ZERO time for bullshit on the pistol. Between keeping up with AEG and building the field. I DONT want to get into a gun where it is the "Starting point" I need it to be the "end"
2) Half decent FPS. Our field is max 450 and guys are catching on its needed.
3) Reliability
4) Accuracy

Please keep this to point form and why.

I recently bought KJW Full metal 1911 MEU. I went to Dark Ops and thats all I used.. Amazing accuracy, Reliability is good(Minus the fact my front sight fucked off cause of my holster lol) and my fps on it was 350? Around there. I'm very proud of my Barbra for surviving for about 38 hours. Haven't taken it a part yet. But from what Ive seen. It looks like a bitch to do.

Personally I'd say the KWA M9 PTP

1) Solidly built
2) Shoots hardish for a gas gun (350 at room temperature, harder on a hot day)
3) Option of 25, 32, and 50 round magazines
4) Excellent gas efficiency (2+ full magazines on one gas fill)
5) Excellent hopup and range for a pistol (I'm a fan of the 'ball bearing' hopup)
6) Reliable, put probably a few thousand rounds through mine, very little wear, no broken parts, minimal maintenance.
7) Lots of holster options specific to the m9 (Serpa's for instance)
8) Nice crisp recoil

Just my two cents. Tho if you're looking for small and lightweight, the ATP has almost all the same pluses, tho I personally don't think it shoots as hard, or quite as accurately.

Thanks you guys, very nice so far but forgot one more question. Do the pistols also have more accuracy on the .28 G or the .20G. In other words does it behave the same way as the AEG in the outdoor.

Thanks

Work it backwards.

First you need to be able to get spare parts and magazines.

Then you need to find a real holster that fits it, not a soft universal holster.

Then it needs to run in all weather.

Then it needs to have a rail if you want a tac light, or a ring if you want a lanyard and so on.

Last it has to fit you hand and shooting style.

It usually works out as something in the TM lineup works best on all counts. the KWA/KSC stuff is definately nice but at times the overall performance seems to come second to cosmetic appeal.

Now that said I have a rack of pistols. My regular go to pistol was based on a TM 226 that ILLusion built into a full metal beauty. My I feel like a change pistol is a KSC G19. My others that come out when the mood strikes are a KSC USP compact, TK USP tactical, Tanaka USP, SOCOM Gear Oasis Gemtech, WE Wilson 1911, MGC P7M13, Marushin Five seveN, and I sure hope I didn't miss anybody.

My winter project is going to be a TM G7 with a to be determined slide and some tweaking.

For BBs I've found my best fit to be .28. That of course will vary by the particular pistol.

Stock Tokyo Marui Hicapa 5.1

Personally I've never been particularly impressed with TM for the price, and I've had WE and KJW tm clones, and never been all that thrilled with them either.

I'll take KWA any day of the week for a pistol, but that's entirely my subjective opinion, others mileage will vary :-)

Oh, and basically all pistols work best with heavier bb's, assuming the hopup can handle the heavier weights. I use .28's or .3's in all my pistols.

Pretty much anything KWA... good mags, full metal, higher FPS than typical pistols, and they make enough kinds of guns that you'll be able to find holsters for them.

Get the new magazines. The old ones will aggravate you to no extent. Be aware that Part 327 (Gas Block) may break, replacements are available though.

My vote goes for the Stock TM 5.1 & glock 17. Hard to say which is better. I prefer the glock. (personal prefrence, not a fan of 2011's)

Adamlxlx August 7th, 2012 21:35

I love pretty much any glock. My main reason for this being they have an internal hammer that is harder to get dirt into. I have 8 pistols but love the glocks for simplicity.

Short Round August 7th, 2012 21:56

WE PX4, cheap, metal slide (not plastic like TM) and aslong as your purchase TM mags to replace to WE one, perfection for under $100
