Does Gore-tex Stretch??
 

So my Bates USMC boots arrived and they fit great except on the left boot where the piece of reinforced material for the laces starts is a bit tight.

Will I need to exchange them or will Gore-tex stretch a bit so they wont feel uncomfortable?

Gore Tex does not stretch...but the liner and other material surrounding the Gore Tex membrane stretches and compresses.....so you will get a little give.....

My winter boots (that i also use for airsoft) are made of Yak leather and gore-tex and after a few weeks of uses they were less tight than when i bought them.

Considering Yak leather is much thicker/sturdier than regular leather I suspect yours will expand a bit as well

Eyeore, how do you like the Bates USMC boots so far? im thinking of ordering them, but im not sure if i want to get them over the Danner TFX boots.

They are great, except for that little pinch, but thats a size issue not the fault of the boots.

Did you order them from the link posted earlier? If so, how was shipping?

Yes I did, they were shipped the day after I paid and I was provided with a tracking number. I think they took six days to get delivered to me including customs. I asked two questions of the seller and both were answered promptly and professionally. I was very satisfied with the transaction.

You can't beat getting $300 for $76.
