The UPA Terror
I have a simple and cheap kit based off of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) getup. To put it simply, they were Ukrainian ultra-nationalists who fought everyone.
Here's a link about these glorious warriors: http://www.encyclopediaofukraine.com...urgentArmy.htm My kit goes like this: - German M43 enlisted man's cap - $10 - Black buttoned shirt - $30 - East German rain pattern pants - $20 - Black combat boots (new, I use them for work too) - $90 - Black leather belt for pouches - $15 - Ammo pouch (bag inside with BBs :D) - Came with SKS - East German canteen - $10 - G&G AK 47 (rec version) - $295 = $470 ($175 for gear) Now, my kit might not be entirely accurate for several reasons. The UPA did fight the Soviets until 1955, so a lot of these are possibilities: - AK 47 - Anything East German - Newer combat boots - Slight change of wardrobe Despite these little things, yeah, my kit puts out. Just a note: I do not consider myself a member of the UPA, nor do I seek to be an imposter. I don't have any of the medals nor insignia associated with the UPA. This kit is a commemoration of my brave relatives who were in the UPA and as a recognition of their hard-earned freedoms. I avoid playing with improper conduct, but when I don this, I pay special attention. |
