KWC USP.45 Safety Not working.

I recently got myself a KWC USP.45 for $60 and it works beautifully, but the only problem is that the Safety doesn't work! A good friend of mine had one as well and his safety was broken too. Is there a common problem amongst KWC USPs? Is there a way I can fix this? I'm thinking a piece just shifted or something on the inside. Its all metal so I'm not thinking anything snapped.

Any ideas?

Anything?

Mine did the same thing right out of the box. It's a common occurrence with these things but since performance wasn't effected ( still shoots 340fps says the guy who bought it from me ) I left it alone.

Remember the scene in BHD where Hoot says "Well this is my safety sir" and flexes his index finger? Yeah, there's your safety. ( LOL )

Welcome to the usp without functioning safety club.

U could replace it but it'd just break again and like he says it's not bad for the gun at all. Very common failure with no real fix unfortunately.

sure there is, make it out of steel instead of Zinc alloy.

It's a common issue with USPs, though I'm only familiar with the KSC/KWA USPs.

even the compacts have that issue. they break like elderly drivers, frequently and at the worst times.

Safety selectors work fine on Tanio Kobas and Tanakas but they have their own issues. I use mine as a de-cocker and have not had a ND with it.

So I guess this is a commonly occurring issue with USP's? Shouldn't that flag something at the manufacturer level?

It's hard to say. My KSC came to me used, as far as I know it may simply be setup to run as a de-cocker. Maybe someone who's had a new one can comment.
