Greenline PMAG Ranger Plate Install?
 
Hi,

I bought a boxset of both the greenline PMAG's by STAR, and the greenline PMAG Ranger plates as well.

I'm having trouble installing these (or well, getting the bottom plate off the magazine).

Has anyone done this properly before?

Slide it to the front. It will come right off.

Some models will be tough to slide off due to the finish, just give the back of the floorplate a good tap.

I thought the cheap Green line PMAGS were once piece, and ranger plates were not compatible?

unless they changed since the first few batches they're good. Mine slide of easily but hold well enough that they've never slid while I've been using them.

No, they make ones specifically for the green line. I dont think regular ones would work.

mine needed a little force. i have to use both my thumbs to get them to unsnap. now i painted the mags, not the base plates, so they are even harder to remove!

I bought a Box of Black and a box of Coyote Brown, the CB's came off very easily. The Black mags... I have still been unable to get some of the bottom plates off.

I have actually broken one Mag by applying too much force in trying to get the plate off.
