KJW M9 missing a part ! don't know what it is!
Hi, I just picked up this gun from a friend, its a KJW M9 about 2 years old, used to fire fine, I've tried it before. I bought it for peanuts because my friend needed winter tires for a car he just bought and I had some old ones that I didin't used anymore so I traded them for the gun.
Well, I stripped it down to paint the clear frame, painted it, put everything back like it was, test fire, don't work, but when I hold it sideway (gangsta style) it fires. hold it straight it does not. I suspect theres a spring or something missing around the link rod who connect the trigger to the hammer, because if I help the rod with my finger, it fires fine, but I don't know what it needs ! heres a picture. http://img191.imageshack.us/i/img0001ou.jpg/ http://img405.imageshack.us/i/img0000n.jpg/ Any advices on what do I need?/where to get it? thank you for your time |
pictures dont work, i have some parts try to reload pictures

Hrm. Looks like he has hotlinking disabled. |
Doubt it's a spring, the KJ M9 are very reliable on that unlike others.
You most likely put too much paint between trigger rod and body, result : you either need gravity or use your finger to make it depress the sear. |
I bet the spring in the top left corner is missing from under the right grip panel.

Sorry for the pictures, I am uploading a video of the problem on youtube, won't be long.
Thank you edit: ancorp, you may be right, the grip panel is not on yet, but I don't remember this spring when I stripped the gun. Maybe it flew and I didin't see it, maybe it was not there at all anyway, Where can I find a replacement spring ? YouTube - KJW M9 problem Heres the video. when its upside down it fires. Don't mind the crappy quality, Webcam video, and don't mind the speed Youtube messed up on that too! |
You can ask me :). If you find you need it, just shoot me a PM.
