a game to register to a gun a battery a high cap a good set of goggles decent pair of boots. That covers the basics anything else is gravy |
I wrote this a while ago...it's a long read, but hopefully plain language and something useful in there.

16+ (in SOME cases, usually it will be 18+ however) If 18+ age verification can be done at the field if there is an AV rep present (ask first to see if there will be any attending, there usually will be).
A gun (or at least asking around for a rental/loaner beforehand) Field Fee+gas money if carpooling ($10-25+) BB's ($15-20 for a bag of BBBastard, AirsoftElite, Madbull or similar if you can get at least the .25 gram ones if playing outdoor (note you will chrono with .20)) Mags (single hicap or a few 120 round midcaps will be fine, I also hate to say this but it's OK to store them in your pocket for now until you decide for yourself if this is for you and you want to spend some more money) Boots ($80-150+, hiking boots are fine and what I use, when you decide to spend more money you might think about getting your hands on some military boots) Eyepro ($30-80+) Cheap paintball goggles/masks can be found at places like Canadian Tire but a pair of JT Flex8's will run you I think $60-80. Otherwise if it's a paintball venue you're playing at they might have masks for rental for like $4-5. |
Any1 with13+ age limits?

Thanks for filling out your profile (unlike most people). I've PM'ed you with some info about your specific locality hopefully it's relevant.
PS: I totally though you were at least 16+ judging from the original post but now the cats out of the bag don't worry as long as you keep up the grammar and asking "the right questions". Even if you can't play at your current age, at least waiting until 16 will be good and you can still learn a lot from this forum (especially the FAQ section). |

Its not just about maturity its the law..

I dont think id like having a kid on the field. They're a headache on xbox live, I couldn't imagine what they'd be like in person with an AEG.

Also I do agree with strelok, for the most part I wouldn't want a kid running around the field since there seems to be a prevalent "I w4nt 1t na0!" and instant gratification kind of attitude towards things (I'll admit it's probably somewhat a problem in my age cohort/generation but not as much as it appears to be now). Now if they could prove themselves somehow by say waiting a few years until 16+ and spectating/helping out a few times so that we could judge their character I would have no problem letting them play at 16 or 17 and making an exception (if I had an 18+ rule in place for games I host). Now as for other hosts I don't know what their feelings toward this is like so I can't comment on that but it never hurts to ask politely. |
