gun not firing all ammo from mag
I recently acquired a m4 and the problem I'm having with it is that it fires good... but when I "empty" a mag... and swap it out... there is always a few bb's that fall out from where the mag goes in.
Any idea what I should be looking at for the problem? I'm very new to airsoft so don't be afraid to dumb it down for me :) Thanks |
no problem it's totally normal.

Normal for AEG's.
Get a Madbul Ultimate Hopup if u wanna solve that issue. Its the only hopup unit for armalites that has a BB retainer |
Though it still drops a round or two so I removed the oring on mine.

Yea, I still lose 1, but it holds the rest in pretty well.
|
I've modded my G&P Hop up loading nozzle with an o-ring and now nothing drops.

Turn gun upside down and fire last 3-4 shots, problem solved :)

Ive tried it in 2 ARs and it didnt feed at all in one and lost 50 FPS in the other, swapped em both to G&P, cheap and effective, problem solved |
how does the oring prevent the bb's from falling out anyway?
|
its at the bottom where the BBs feed into the hopup, and it stretches across the edges of the mouth holding the BBs into the chamber

It's actually funny....
My M4 sometimes feeds all the BB's and at other times the last 3 or 4 won't feed (which is normal). Maybe it could be related to me leaning over slightly and the bb's rolling or being pushed the rest of the way by the follower. (Will require more in depth research but it's the only thing I can come up with as to why it sometimes does that and other times the last few won't feed). |
my old AK fed every BB from all of its mags, could never figure out why or how...

'when the piston is retracted from the fully forward position, it creates a partial-vaccum infront of the air-nozzle, sometimes this partial vaccum is strong enough to pull a bb up from the HOP BB Feed tube' some guns will create a greater vaccum (full-cylinders) then others, rate of fire makes a big difference as well as spring strength.. i would guess a stock (or near stock FPS) gun with full cylinder and a high voltage battery would generate the most.. |
