G&G m16 locking up

Hey guys I am stumped on this

Gun: G&G can soft m16 *uhg*

Upgrade: m120s spring

Changed internal parts: the gun was brought to me with a broken sector gear and shredded piston. I replaced both of these with TM parts as they were available close at hand. Now the TM piston was one tooth up on the shredded one but it looked like one tooth was clean off. Do the m16's use a shorter piston?

Strange parts: The motor in this thing looks like a generic grey motor. No labels or anything on it. I have a feeling its been replaced at one point.

Wear: I am seeing wear and tear already on the final tooth of both piston and sector gear. The gun has only had maybe 200 shots through it since the upgrade and repair.

Conclusion?: ok so knowing the above. Any ideas? I have these options in mind but I can't narrow it down with out a little more info from some experience.

1: Piston is too long so when it gets pushed back it can not release properly.
2: Spring is too strong and the motor can not push it back properly. This doesn't make sense as it has had shots through it and than the problem suddenly started to occur. When it jams you can hear the motor trying to move.

Is the new piston round, you may see that original G&G pistons are hexagonal, and to fit any other brand into that gearbox you'd need to file down the outer of the piston to make it smaller, otherwise it stucks into the gearbox.

Does the motor have redish plates at his ends, if so, this is a G&G strong, I found it to be better than a TM EG700, it was pulling the gears faster and easier.

alright I will take a look at both those things. IIRC though tm pistons are round. God I hate working on these chinese clones.
