Is it legal to ship clearsoft into Canada?
I was wondering if it was legal to ship clear airsoft guns across the border, or will they get confiscated? (if I was to buy a Kraken AK from PyramidAir).
|
Is it illegal to search for yourself? Nope.
Its supposedly legal, and supposedly not. Depends on the agent that reviews the package when they run it through. Some will consfiscate, some won't. Why don't you just buy a kraken from within canada? Or, better yet, save up and get age verified so you're not tossing money down the drain. Think about it. |
This is the best answer anyone can give you:
Maybe. |
It is legal to import clearsoft. Chance of confiscation is quite low.
Not sure why you'd want to though, since they are available in Canada. Support Canadian businesses. |

Convert the USD to CAD, Add shipping then compare the pricing.
You're not saving much at all to be honest. |

So, lets do the math here. Its late, and I'm bored. $140 USD for a kraken, converting that from USD to CAD roughly gets you $148 CAD Pyramid Air charges 25 bucks USD for standard shipping to Canada. So lets punch this info into this duty calculator : http://www.thefinalcost.com/shipments/calculate/ CAD$ 250.96 for the gun to get here, if it does. So much for saving. *Edit* This got me thinking. Expect another comic soon. |
Not to mention you can find Krakens can sometimes be found for $120-$130 retail price here in Canada.

Brokerage Fees...
Do not forget brokerage fees. In order to import anything into Canada a broker has to clear the product. Depending on the product the brokerage fee can be considerable.
In the cases of some companies they will deliver the package and then send you a bill for the brokerage fees after! UPS did this to me and the cost was close to 20% of the value of the product. Chances are after you factor in shipping and brokerage fees the cost will be pretty close to $180.00... Trust me on this I have a brokering license... |
So the tally adds up.
Long answer short : Order within canada. the US isn't as cheap as you may think. |

i was wondering how and where walmart and canadiantire imported their clearguns?
do they do custom orders if you talk to agents at walmart or canadiantire?? |

also there are not high enough profit margins for custom orders. |
What about something like this then shipping the other parts such as accessories like the lower frame?
Gun: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/eac-marui...tom-clear.html Frame: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/tokyo-mar...age-green.html |
Solid color frame is a no-go.
|
The dark green frame won't make it over and I have no idea if the clear one would. Best bet though would be to get AV'd, I happen to be really lazy and even for me it was easy to do.
|
I would do local retail store or go used.
if you're ordering online I'd recommend just buying off a Canadian online retailer. |
Frame is a no go ok good and also the clear gun has a black slide with it.... is that allowed lol newbie I know XD
|
nvm.
