FirePower FP8 or JG G36c

Hi, I was going to get the FirePower FP8 but then I heard of the JG G36c and I was stuck on wich one to get. I would be using it for PRIVATE backyard play. I have no idea what to do to the gearbox so I dont want one that I'd have to work on the gearbox. Which gun should I get? If you have a suggestion for a different gun thats good for backyard use, please tell me.

So I'm thinking go with G36c Echo ver3 with metal bushing. It is great out of the box.

firepowers have a reputation of being utter crap.

JG seems like the choice, but even then it might require work on the gearbox eventually.

Read the FAQs, get age-verified, and there will be plenty of JG g36s waiting for you (i think theres at least one in the classifieds right now). Try to get into the community and please play on a sanctioned field. hes not joking up there.

I made the mistake of getting a Firepower M4 last year. I fired it about 4-5 times in semi to adjust the hopup... Then switched to auto and let out a burst. I got about 5 rounds out before the gearbox made a horrible grinding sound and the gun died. I was told by many that I was lucky to even have it fire that many rounds before it died...

Canada

Spatel May 23rd, 2008 14:41

im in canada

super_six_four May 23rd, 2008 14:41

i wouldnt go with either, the reason i say that is because i have seen nothing but junk come from them and even JG, we had a JG catch fire once so im going to stay away from clones but if i had to choose id go for the JG out of the two.

Spatel May 23rd, 2008 14:42

Thanks I'll get the JG G36c vs.3

MagnumPeanut May 23rd, 2008 14:43

G36c rules anyways.

Crunchmeister May 23rd, 2008 16:11

For the record, my JG guns have worked out great. My MP5 is totally stock and has seen a whole lot of shooting (although little gaming) and is working great. My HK416 ran great and still is. I opened it to install some metal bushings, because shooting at 390 fps, I don't think the nylon ones would last. Otherwise the only other internal "upgrade" is a Modify anti-reversal latch. The gun has seen a few thousand rounds now and it still running fine.
