Slow motion camera + GBB
i've always wanted to see what happens
YouTube - Airsoft GBB slow motion YouTube - Airsoft GBB slow motion 2 hope its not a repost. enjoy. |
nice find. Hicapa is hawt
|
!!!SEXYTIME!!!
|
That's about as fast as a GBB on duster performs !!!
|
was always wondering if koba's 'pre shoot' system really resulted in zero slide movement until the bb leaves the barrel
looks like a few miliseconds before the bb leaves the slide starts to shimmy just very slightly |
Finally... neat stuff.
|
sweet
video = sexy time |
|
Black and white and grainy...would be nicer if someone had access to the new Casio camera. Can take 6MP pics at 60fps and digital video at up to 1200fps, normal TV broadcasts and such are usually 26 or 29 point something fps.
|
Very interesting videos. Video two appears to show the slide recoiling before the bb leaves the barrel. There may be a case for stretching the reed valve spring a bit to retard the blowback phase a bit to space out the fire and recoil phases more.

Real steel is based on a similar system. Neat video, though. Good to see that the system functions as theorized. |
So does this mean reports of enhanced recoil spring resulting in increased fps are flukes or misunderstandings?

Actually almost every GBB partially pressurizes the blowback mechanism before they snap into recoil mode. Only Magna GBBs have a distinct pressurization of only the breech or recoil pneumatics. Even recent TM GBBs have a mid station reed valve which snaps forward. In the rearwards position, gas pressure is applied to the recoil assembly. If it didn't, there would be no pressure to shove the reed valve forward when breech pressure dropped.
If that video is of a TM hicapa, I'd say that the reed valve wasn't stiff enough. It looks like the slide starts its recoil just before the pellet exits the barrel in the 2nd video. |

slow mo of aftermath of said shot heh Illusion: do the old mgc guns function on a retarded blowback system? I had a cursory look at the p7m13 and it seemed that the brass rod in there would travel for a while before actually engaging the blowback cycle in the slide |
Well that looked like it might hurt.
|
Who cares if it might be a repost, is one of those useful posts that should be reposted every couple of years because most people haven't seen it.

If you look carefully at the timing of the first video, you will see the same effect of the slide starting its cycle before the BB has exited. Quote:
There is no valve to distinctly cut off one area from the other. |
