Threesome ftw :D
|
Hmm...is it a new or a used gun? The packaging looks very different compared to mine. I have the green box version with the 'cloth' interior.

I always wanted the 1911 springer, but I got the M9 springer instead :( When I first opened the thread, I saw the box, and my mouth dropped open...where'd you find yours? |
Springer? THAT would explain it.

Thanks for the comments people.
I snagged it off of craigslist for $80. :D As you can see the gun has VERY VERY few imperfections on it. Im so god damn stoked to have a TM 1911 again! Now all I need to go with it is an MK2 an3 again maybe a few others. If anyone wants to get rid of some springers, send me a message and we can talk. |
What, the retaliers don't order them in?
|
mr.evo i too throught somthing was off, the gun itself also looks more black than grey like the gbb.
|
OK so its a springer, that explains the difference. Why is it so popular?
|
I was going to ask the same this as Evo... but makes sence now, nice aqquisition, I love my TM 1911 GBB, but I wouldnt mind having that springer for winter games..

Damn it, I used to own one of these, its a very, VERY high quality springer. The finish, detail, realism really shows true TM quality. I sold mine for $80 and still regret it.

Not looking to sell ANY of them.
Ya craigslist is pretty reliable, tho has many stupid as hell buyers, an you have no real idea to tell just who is buying what your selling. Springers during the winter are great, performance is not affected AT ALL unlike GBB's as previously mentioned, also no dead battery in the cold either. |
So no retailers still sell them?
|
I'm sure retailers will still order them for you, it just seems noone keeps springers in stock anymore.
They are more or less a "collectors" item nowadays, tho theres many of us who do game with them, when we do. Another fact also with springers, retailers can't really mark them up big time like higher priced items. When people are airsofting, most people want to be able to FIRE RAPIDLY, many think springers are just cheap shit, but it's great when ya get a kill with one. |
What the hell, springers can lock back with a working hammer? I never knew about this..
That's awesome! Colt 1911, full metal? |
1911 operates just like a single actions (except for having to manually cock the gun, but oh well thats what you pay.
Here is a quick video of the 1911, showing single action. http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n...h_MVI_1574.jpg Now a video of the Bertta 92 for comparison. http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n...h_MVI_1575.jpg Yes hammers are fully functional (To hold the slides open I stuck a pen up the magazine well and held them open for the pictures hehe.) I am yet to see a springer with a functional slide catch. Oh BTW, no it is not FULL METAL, but I'm god damn sure I can get a metal slide/frame/ect and fit everything to it to create a FMU springer. I have a dremel and LOTS of time on my hands to think about things on the night shift. |
on most TM springers you can diddle with the safety to make it a slide catch
