I like the cappa

Lakonian May 9th, 2007 22:26

Wow. You just pwn'd every MP5 operator out there. That thing sure looks high-speed.

Your hicappa looks pretty good, but as a 1911 builder, I'm slightly confused by your set-up. It's like a love child of a IPSC , and tactical 1911... lol nice, but I don't know about fieldable.

Avenging Angel May 9th, 2007 23:04

The Hi-Cappa was a confusing one. I built it with the original intent to use it for the Airsoft IPSC comps we have here in Calgary but then I decided to make it fieldable. I added on the strike kit to compensate for the larger amount of recoil added by the super hi-flow valves in my mags. I know Airsoft recoil isn't much but this gun had enough to effect the sight picture.

Previously I was running the same set up but without the hybrid slide set. It worked GREAT in the field. I just had to modify my holster to accept the holo-sight. Other than that, it's fantastic. The gun crono's at 375 fps with 0.20's and out shoots any stock AEG.

So, yes, it is a love child and it likes being one. lol.

Lakonian May 9th, 2007 23:07

hehehe, aslong as it's usable , it's sexy in my eyes.

Red Ghost May 9th, 2007 23:15

The MP5-J looks effin' AMAZING

Spawn28 May 9th, 2007 23:20

SWEET! nice mp5

Jar|-|ead May 9th, 2007 23:27

i think i just CREAMED my pant for that MP5...

Lakonian May 9th, 2007 23:37

Defintaly one of the first on ASC to own that kit.

sniperbay May 9th, 2007 23:38

like the cappa.. reminds me of the old infinity hybrids... not big on the holo sight but whatever floats your boat..

love that MP5.. very nice look..

dontask May 10th, 2007 00:07

I'm not that into mp5s but... that's a nice mp5!

Lerch May 10th, 2007 00:30

That MP5 looks like something you'd see in The Terminator :D

guiltyspark May 10th, 2007 00:59

does the nine ball rail for the 5.1 screw into the frame or does it attach onto the rail?

Avenging Angel May 10th, 2007 01:06

Guiltyspark: It attaches to the 5.1 rail via some hex screws. It's just compression fit. You have to use some locktight in order for the screws to not come loose due to vibration.

Sniperbay: I actually have one of the old WA Infinity Xcellerators as well (Silver) I had to put it into retirement though as it was starting to break down. That's what inspired me to go for the hybrid look. I just liked it way too much. =)

Styrak May 10th, 2007 01:23

Is that an Alien pulse rifle?! Sweet!

underground May 10th, 2007 02:07

im sorry but i think the cappa (sweet slide btw) would look better without the WA's mag skirt (just my preference), otherwise I really love your setup!

Lakonian May 10th, 2007 02:11

That skirt is probably the best thing he has on that gun (aside from the strike kit). It makes reloading sooooo easy. My 4.3 SVIX has one (from factory) and reloads are %30 faster than reloads with my 4.3 single stacker (skirtless).

Avenging Angel May 10th, 2007 02:14

Yup! Just ask some of the other fellows that do IPSC here in Calgary how much faster it makes things. I can have another mag loaded before the ejected one even hits the ground! =) They are all sorts of wonderful! They may not look the best, but boy do they perform!

underground May 10th, 2007 02:25

oh, i thought it was for some fashionable reason...makes sense if it helps during gaming it.

Naerah May 10th, 2007 02:26

skirt to make reload faster.... look like a world of warcraft item lol( sorry i lost 2 years playing that drug). never eard about that before, new search to do over the internet lol

Skirt of Reloading Gem

o Fit in blue sockets
add 30% reload speed to Ranged weapons

OMG. LEETZORRXZ.

It adds a flare to your magwell, acting like a funnel. You'll never fumble a mag again. It's an amazing piece of kit.

Naerah May 10th, 2007 02:39

Nice idea and even better, it add some style to the gun (imo). pretty much love the 3 guns, the pulse riffle come first lol

Whodini May 10th, 2007 03:16

3 round burst?! <3

WOA... I'm too motherly to my gun, and mags to ever do that. If the mags cost $12-20 , then no problem.. but this isn't RS :(

I was actually just refering to the old 5 and 6 inch infinity hybrids that were discontinued ... ohhh.. i think a good 6 years ago...althought the Xcellerators were a nice modernization of them... (old ones were perdier.. lol)

ya mag skirt looks ugly.. but sure helps a lot when reloading..

ILLusion May 10th, 2007 12:56

NIIIIIIIIICE Hi-Capa. I like. Glad to see some more guys mackin their Hi-Capas hard!

That's why he has the Nine Ball rubber bumpers... to take the hit of the drop. ;)

underground May 10th, 2007 13:01

what is that hanging on the wall?

Avenging Angel May 10th, 2007 13:20

Sniperbay: The following Xcellerator is what I am talking about. I wasn't aware that there were other Hybrid models out there aside from what WA made? I know that I spent 4 years hunting down this stupid gun though. =p You have any links to the older models and who was the manufacturer?

http://www.members.shaw.ca/bolt.101/hyb.JPG

Underground: The gun on the wall is the M41A Pulse Rifle as seen in the movie "Aliens". It's another one of my pieces that took forever to get. It's built around the thompson. It was just in the way when I took these pics. I always leave that piece on my wall. It's a good conversation piece.

sniperbay May 10th, 2007 14:15

The Xcellerator came out a coupel years after the original infinity hybrid.... it was also made by WA... it was one of the first SV guns they made and was only made in limited numbers...

the look was similar except without the funky coloured grip and the ooogly vertical indents on the frame where the rail is ...

Amazing KG3 May 10th, 2007 14:29

MP...5....Too...cool....face...metling!... ARghhh...!

LOL... my SVIX took me about 2 years of hunting... A friend actually saw it for sale (here), and told me about the deal. Boy was I happy to get my hands on the thing.

That's an older SCW2 right?

Avenging Angel May 10th, 2007 14:55

Yup, it sure is one of the older ones. I got it three years ago and I believe the owner previous to me had is sitting around for 2 or 3 years as well. It's still one of the best airsoft pistols that I've shot by far!

Lakonian May 10th, 2007 15:12

Oh, forsure. WA makes the best ASPs by far. Also, I find the quality of plastic they use in their grip for the double stacker, IPSC style guns (SV line-up) is alot higher than that of TM, and KSC.

sniperbay May 10th, 2007 15:13

ya the WA .45's with double stack mags are definatly the best pistols...i personally miss my old WA Wilson Combat High Cap... but those Xcellerators are sweet pieces...

Mud Gunner May 10th, 2007 16:40

Nice Job on the MP5 I likes it!
