RIS/Reciever gap. What can be done?
I have a shakey RIS. Bought used, should've seen it coming. Anyways i think i can help if i can get a rail riser or cover to span the gap between the upper reciever and the top rail of the RIS. Any suggestions?

There's a type of rail that joins the RIS and the receiver rail together, called a Nitro rail. Search for NV-SMB-RS16GR on www.wgcshop.com.
Other than that, if the RIS and receiver are the same height you could probably get away with a 20mm riser rail, the Nitro would be far more secure though. |
any more direct links? cant find it. ..
|
WGC doesn't allow direct links from what I can tell, so that's about as precise as it gets. If you search that exact part number it should pop up.

You're a gimp =P

ohhhh, itll make it look like a S system! I have a CQBR though, will it fir, or can i modify it to fit?
|
I just have the top rail cover on my SR-16 part way back so it ties in with the top reciever rail. I never had the wobble issue to begin with, this is just to prevent it.

Aaack, I just figured out the direct link.
*freely admits to gimp status* |
do these things lock into the rail like a scope, or do they just slide over. As for red ghost, is yours this nitro rail or just a plane jane rail cover?
|
also in a pinch you can use the carrying handle. :)

I'm just using the rail covers that came with the gun. Nothing fancy at all. It's just that the top one has been slid back to cover a small portion of the receiver rail. It looks a little off, but beauty in function. |
nice work, what kind of sight is that?

its from china! Wont it take forever?

It's the Cambodian Tire El-crapo Crosman sight. But it works beautifully for $21.99. It took a few washers and some longer screws to mount it to the 20mm RIS-type rail as opposed to the 3/8" dovetail it's made for. And yes, I had to paint over the crosman logo as it drove me insane, that being the small rectangle of a glossier black on the sight body. I also shaved down the On/Off switch [not visible, on opposite side] as things would brush up against it and turn on or off the sight on me.

It will if you ship it by surface mail (boat).
