G36 series
Is there currently any full stock for the G36 series? I searched and couldn't find one. Any help?
|
Closest you'll get is G&P's Norwegian "V" stock. See my review here. Well worth the money.
|
Yapp, there's one from G&P (grey-black) and one from CA (black).

There is only one full stock and it's the V-stock.

Right now I'm thinking that as a practical choice I will probably build my collection based on the G36 series. Interchangable mags and accessories will cut costs quite a bit as opposed to other guns. I just don't want to use a full sized rifle with a small battery in it. |
Well, i think we understand two different things under the word full stock.
H&K says: Full stock is the full size (skeleton) stock (as Darklen said) in opposite to the small stock of the G36C. The V-Stock is just a norwegian variation of the full stock. so we just misunderstood each other. |
You can squeeze a 9.6v 1100mah nimh mini in the forend, and I mean squeeze. It's a tight fit but it does fit. Or you can get a larger forend that'll fit large batteries. Alternatively, a PEQ battery box on a ris will work.
|
Yeah theres a couple of larger foregrips available. I would have sworn there was just a tread about (G36) aftermarket grips around a few days ago. Can't find it though.
Price wise, the best way to get one of these is through a UNc or WGC order. -Cheese |
if you're using a G36c, i recommend going with a larger foregrip, CA makes a good one. You won't have to rewire your gun and you'll be able to fit a large 8.4 in there for sure.
|
The G36KV stock (when fully collapsed) is actually shorter than the G36C stock.
|
Ok, well, you guys gave me all I needed to know about the stock, thanks. I'm definitely thinking I'm going to go ahead and get into the G36 series (starting with a G36K). Anyone got any experience with the CA36K? All the reviews I've read have been good. I'm ok with just having 2-4 batteries for it. Gives me some other equipment to carry anyways. After that any other recommendations for the series? I plan on a couple G36K's, a full G36 (probably with a launcher, etc...), a couple G36C's and an SL8 (or SL9). I like having things that match, so this will be like a wet dream for me...heh.
|
Go with Intellect 1200mah minis, they're the best minis available. You want the 9.6v, CA36s are able to take and prefer to take 9.6v. It's also possible to build a large battery modelled after the Sanyo make (3x2 and 2 free hanging) but with the superior Intellect cells.

I seem really bad at finding things on the internet (or things I want just never exist) so I was wondering if someone could give me a hand. I don't like the carry handle with intergrated optics the G36/G36K come with and I want to replace them with the standard G36C Top-Rail with Iron Sights, which I figured would be a pretty commonplace part (you know, in case someone broke theirs). However I can't seem to find one anywhere, so any help would be appreciated. Also, I love the flash-hider on the G36K and would maybe want to throw one on any other G36 series guns I got and I can't find it either (again, I assumed it wouldn't be a hard part to come by). If anyone can help you definitely have my gratitude. thank in advance! |
classic armys got one

As for your concerns about the G36 V stock, it is fully collapsable when using an 8.4V large, and even when you're using up to a 10.8, only the shortest position is unavailable to you. There's also a special battery configuration that you have to use in order to fold the stock and have it lock. The WGC page explains this all: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?itm=GP-ACC-469 As for batteries, whatever you get, get it from www.unipros.com, they're the best. |

The Saint, you're my hero. I'd found SO many versions without the iron sights and it was driving me insane.
Also, I don't like the look of the V-stocks, so the 1400 mah minis sound pretty wicked to me! :kill: Now I've just got to decide on STAR or CA. Thanks for all the help everyone! |
Aaidin, be sure to check out the used stuff forums for parts. I know there's at least one G36C rail kicking around on it.
|
Apoc has a G36 with a large foregrip, donno what kind, but it fits a large 3300mah 9.6v
|
I have a First Factory large foregrip (check at uncompany.com) and I run it with a 9.6v 3000mah and runs great
|
So, I've definitely decided to get a G36C (Either CA or TM) and just get the conversion kits to the KE or whatever I decide on later. I just have one question and it's for people with either gun (preferrably who have used both) is the CA hop-up nearly as good as the TM on this particular gun. I've been VERY disappointed with my CA33E Hop-up, when compared with the TM guns my friends have their hop-ups give them about 30 ft more range and mine doesn't really seem to do anything. I think I'm probably going to go with the TM this time unless someone can give me a great reason not to but I do want a comparison for the hop-up. Thanks in advance.
|
CA36C shoots harder than the TM36C and is supposed to have tougher internals, which means safer usage of 9.6v batteries. A new hopup is less than $10 and 20 minutes of work (10 minutes if you have a Dremmel, there are some long ass screws holding the CA front end on).
If I were you, I'd get the K and mod down to a C later. But that's me, it all depends on where you play, anyways. |
Yeah, if you want a K you might as well get a CA36K.
|
Yeah, I could do that and just get the G36C top rail for it, but then I've got a useless carryhandle w/optics that I don't want.

Both my TM G36 hopups broke and I replaced them with CA ones, I don't really notice a difference. My G36KV shoots about 150 feet minimum and my MG36V shoots over 200 consistantly. The G36 hopups are completely different from the G33, once you set the G36 hopup, you can pretty much forget about it unless you change the internals or bb weight. |

Just an FYI, Star now makes G36/C/K's. They're more expensive, but the build quality is supposed to be superior. There are some problems with the motor though. I don't know what resolutions will be forthcoming.
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...light=star+g36 I've been saving for a CA36K for some time now, until I heard about this. I'm now going to save a bit more and go for the Star G36K. |
Well, I've got a TM G36C on the way, that'll be my first step into the G36's. I'll probably mod it into a K with the STAR conversion kit eventually if I like the performance and if not I'll just sell it and get the STAR G36K and do some work on the internals, but I am a big admirer of TM especially for beginners, they do have good reliability from what I've seen so far.

Ressurecting my own thread to ask a quick question: Do the CA/STAR G36 Series guns accept the TM 50 rd. Mags?
|
I can't remember for certain, and I believe I may have heard a couple different things but do stock G36c's (TM) fit the 1200 MaH Intellect battery packs? Or do they require some slight modification. If anyone with experience could help me out with this I'd much appreciate it. Thanks!

Yes they'll all fit  |
Yay! My TM G36C arrived today! I'm happy. I'll play with it tomorrow and let people know what I think.
|
I've got a query;
I want to remove the iron sights from the TM rail of my G36, but the pins are stubborn as shit. How do I do it? Speculations welcome, I'll try anything once. |
Quote:
But seriously though, what have you tried? I would be surprised if a hammer and punch couldn't get it out. I've never taken mine off, but I might try now, just to see. |

You could get an extremely caustic substance and eat away at the sights until they're gone, and then buffer it till it's smooth.
...You said anything. |
Okay...I take back the 'anything' comment.
I'll give the hammer and pin a shot. |
Another Ressurection for my beloved G36C thread.
I've had the gun for quite some time now, played many games (well, about 10) with it and I love it. I'm definitely planning the upgrades to be in place for late summer/early fall this year and I need a tiny bit of help. I want to minimize any stress on the internals of the gun while still bringing up the FPS. From what I understand the best way to achieve this is by creating better airseal rather than stronger springs. So the idea is to get a metal bushing set, metal gears, and a reasonably powerful spring to take it up to around 350-375 Fps. After that I planned on a 6.01mm tightbore which may or may not (still haven't got confirmation on this) add 10-20 more fps. Are there any other parts that will improve the airseal and allow me to use not quite such a powerful spring? So other than the standard Systema or Guarder Bushings and Gears a Spring that will bring it to where I want (which I can figure out on my own I'm pretty sure). Was there anything I missed? I'm fairly certain the other internal parts (Piston, Cylinder, etc...) will be fine in stock form and still last quite a while. Also, once I get my gun do people recommend I try and install the stuff by myself or send it to a gunsmith somewhere to get it done? Thanks for the help everyone! *EDIT: Just looked at the Guarder FTK for the G36C on UNcompany and it looks like a simple way to get everything I want (except the barrel) but the spring (SP120) according to Illusions Spring Comparison Chart would put the gun well over 400 fps...is that a misreading of information or is the FTK a weird thing to buy? |
I really need a reply to this ASAP. I'm ordering in a Guarder FTK for my G36C tomorrow probably but I need to know if I should order a weaker spring as well? I don't want to push my gun over 400 fps, in fact, 375-385 would be nice.

If you love the crane stock they do sell a Crane Stock adapter for the G36..
Dunno what it will look like but it will be unique.. I am ordering the Sniper V Stock for the G36 it has a cheekpad and well a nice 11v battery will go inside.. cant wait |
Here's a nice one, Pic of it on the G36C, so u can c how it will look
