Maybe wrong place but (re:Verifyers)
 

So Ive been trying to get in touch with a verifier for Manitoba (specifically Winnipeg region)

Ive PMed all the verifiers and not one has gotten back to me after 2 weeks.

Some of the aren't even on ASC anymore as of 3 years ago (As I know them personaly)

Are there ANY valid verifiers anymore for MB? Or has the list been updated for a while now?

Ive been into airsoft for 15+years and my account used to have access to the EE, but since they put this system in place (and my absence from airsoft) I cant get access to any of the exchange forums.

Any help as to who to talk to, as well as the MODs getting on updating said lists, would be appreciated.

The lists do get updated, but some verifiers stop doing it and don't tell us. Strelok and Amos are still on here from time to time and I can't speak for the others. That being said; this time of year many people are away on holidays, busy with work and family, etc. As this is done by volunteers you can end up waiting in excess of two weeks to hear back. Unfortunately sometimes the verifier or verifiers nearest you are away, busy or inactive and you'll have to travel.

You can contact King or Slow they are Age Verifiers.
if you go to Ivangrad any sunday and I am sure you can get AV'd

I sent Priest an Email through the site. Got one reply, asked about verifying, haven't heard back from him for a week...

1 week is not much time when people (volunteers) have jobs/family first. Priest also runs Eddie Creek Airsoft field out there so on weekends he occupied there (aka get to a game and you'd be verified most likely).

As per the FAQ's it can sometimes be weeks before a verifiers responds due to personal life taking precedence.

How about a month and a week...?

Did you go to the airsoft field to meet up with Priest? Did you contact any verifiers who are maybe a few hours from you?

I feel your frustration, but there is LITERALLY no other way than to meet with a verifier. We don't make exceptions and sometimes there are verifier gaps and/or people are away or inactive. However, many people are in communities that don't have verifiers and must travel hours to meet with one. This is an option, however undesirable it may be to you. Best bet is to find a game or event, usually a couple of verifiers attend them. There's always options.

He should get age verification simply for being signed up since 2001. That is unless he was 4 years old when he made his account...? ;)

I was going to say, if he WAS underage he went through a shit load of trouble to sign up 14 years ago on the forum.

Somebody signed up 14 years ago but you don't know that the entity posting now is that same person.
Age Verification is done in person period.
If we start handing out AV status Willy Nilly like a Liberals hand out public money or Anti Gun Statements, the last ten years of AVing goes out the window like Ontario Liberal leader Wynn's Emails on The Hydro plants.

I've contacted every verifier in MB. Got only 2 replies. (Out of how many we have on the list?)

One said he can AV. Never got back to me after that.

Second (Priest) would involve me driving out of town for him to look at me and go "yup, you look over 18 (going on 35) so pretty ridiculous to drive so far to just get my ID looked at.

I've been saying AV was going to go just the way it has 10+ years ago. Names on the list, nobody wants to do it.

As for me not being me. Do you re- AV every few years? What about hacked:lost accounts.

If there's a will there's a way, so far all I can do is crackbook/retailer

1) yes verifiers are known members and a fair amount I actually know in person.

2) they are checked periodically for activity and when we have time (remember we are all volunteers) we update the lists.

3) Our verifiers many times go out of their way to drive and meet with people, so why is it so wrong that at times they as you to do the same (remember once again they are volunteering their time to help you)

4) I personally have verified people over 2000kms away from my house, so for you to travel what 50kms maybe is pretty minor in comparism and sounds silly to whine about such a small distance (heck most "local" games I have verified at are 103kms from my house).

5) do not like the system, we do not care it is the rules here, you want to play in our sandbox and enjoy the perks follow our rules.
