Optics Question.
Im thinking about this combo But Im not sure if their is Better options out their.
Please offer your thoughts on this set-up and Any other working setup that will fit nice on a M14 EBR. The rail gap as been filled with a G&P M14 Tactical Scope Mount Base https://www.buyairsoft.ca/accessorie...er-bundle.html |
Go in a store and check the optics out in person.
|
he might rant if its out of stock
|
theres much better magnifiers out there. Ones that have FTS mounts so you can use your red dot without any magnification

Youre better off getting a FTS (flip to side) magnifier and a holographic sight separately. The rails on that optic are pointless and add more weight, can't add lasers as they are too dangerous for use, a flashlight is better mounted near the muzzle for less light obstruction and faster toggling. And with a FTS you can flip the magnifier down to view the holographic sight normally for close to mid range combat and flip it up for long range.... Remember heavier crap on your gun will tire you out faster. Unless you're goddamn Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone and ripped as fuck to man handle a M249 or M60, keep it light.
|
Also your eotech(if used in front of your FTS magnifier) will need to be raised slightly for them to line up.
|
Also, also, that "eotech" appears to only have a "dot" not the Eotech Circle-dot. You could no doubt get a better set up purchasing the two things separately. You really get what you pay for with optics.
|
I can get an Elcan Spectre DR replica with great sight relief and quality with a red dot on top for cheaper...
|
G&G Elcan Spectre DR 1-4x optic. Nuff said.

This guy kept pming me questions and if answer them then he'd go ask the same thing in a thread and get the same answer. He was pretty annoying.
|
I guess it was that last comment. I read all the rest before, the last comment deserves a ban.
|
Funny how So many people attack a guy that asked some questions and Posted his opinion.
Strange that this hobby isn't growing as fast as it should. Must be the poor attitudes. |

Are you goes for real? Ive most likely played with most of you, in the past 10 years, And I was Told By Fox too join up. And this is what I get after reading a bunch of members attacking another member.
Your Right Ban me, I wont be back. And next time Im out, ASC Members don't get the 100 foot rule. |
Actually it's one particular type of new member spreading bullshit and getting a timeout as a result.
I wonder what your next adventure will be. |

Now that we're waaay off topic, I'll say that I don't think he did anything bannable in this thread. And I don't think that single thread about TA wasn't something that indicated that there would be a future pattern of that kind of posting.
Now that I've defend Chromey, I'll point out that Trend capitalizes random words in the middle of his sentences, and uses the spelling of "too" incorrectly, just like Chromey did. Seeing that makes me feel bad inside. |

don't know if it ultimately caused his demise but note his last post in that thread "See, I have accomplished what I set out too Do. Enjoying my day now. " Now trend signs up shortly after Chromy gets banned and his first and second post are in this thread. Extremely odd. Anyway, admins can look up his IP and other info. |
Trend got lucky that I gave only a warning instead of a ban. Chromey and Trend don't share the same IP but looks like they share the same friend. Chromey got banned for a week because he accumulated enough infraction points for a ban.
Please go back on topic. |
Another option would be short dot scopes. (i think that what they're called anyways)
Only brands i can really think of in the economical spectrum are Vision King, Barska and mayb primary arms. |
The best advice given was right at the start of the thread.
Go start checking stuff out in person. Look through them and check out how you like the sight picture in person. |

This is the best option. A lot of it is personal preference as well. If possible, try to be in a very bright area, to make sure the dot will be visible outside during daylight, as low visibility is a huge issue with lots of cheaper red dot sights. |
Chromey's TA rant was the best birthday present ASC could give me. I was having a HORRIBLE day.
oh and this thread. this thread is equal amount of win |
Thanks too the people with the Helpful info.
I installed a 4X40 scope, And it works, Its just a bit long. I need too buy a rail too bridge the gap on my M14EBR before I can try much else. |
