Anyone in Brooks AB willing to Help? - minor wanting freebies move on nothing of interest here.

Hello everyone, I know it's been awhile since I've posted, let alone logged on.. But I have my reasons..

Now, what I'm asking is, if there is anyone in Brooks AB that has any spare attachments they could lend me. I'm not talking about a $500 holo sight, I mean a fore grip, a combat scope, and maybe a new stock, but I'll also need a 40mm rail. Just anything you guys aren't using will do, I lack the money to buy them :(. Also, if there's any teams in Brooks, I'd love to play when I get a mask..

mcguyver August 16th, 2013 16:02

There is no airsoft in Brooks, they haven't heard of it yet.

Contact Team Swatt, they are in Brooks. There is even a thread in the teams section for them.

There are a couple guys I don't remember off the top of my head though. If you're around Lethbridge between Sept-April PM me or something.

EpicWindz August 16th, 2013 17:16

Alright, I usually don't travel unless its to a surplus or game store

Pops Pub (AKA "The Duke") is my usual watering hole in Lethbridge (but I like the clientele of Pops South much better), but we could go to Sound Garden if "hunting" is more your thing :P. Buy me a pint or two (I especially love Sam Adams and Granville Island) and I can share all that I know about airsoft.

As far as gear goes though Section 8 Sports is the local airsoft store for Southern AB (south of Calgary). The surplus store (GI Jens) AFAIK shut down.

BTW I'm not sure of their status but the other "club/team" in Brooks is "The Spartans". For the record I'm a "casual member" of swat.

he's only 15...

L473ncy August 16th, 2013 17:42

Oh....

In that case then yeah I don't really want to aid in the corruption of youth and definitely not going to take the OP to a cougar bar, let alone any bar.

EDIT: BTW Did anyone know you actually need tags to hunt cougars?

EpicWindz August 16th, 2013 17:43

Lmao that is great... This community... This community man.. Nothing better than this

ThunderCactus August 16th, 2013 18:35

What the heck is a 40mm rail??

EpicWindz August 16th, 2013 18:38

It's a rail you put an attachment like a foregrip, or a acog on, it's basically universal.. For NATO guns

Either a 1.5" length of 20mm rail or a rail to which you could attach an underslung grenade launcher? ;)

coach August 16th, 2013 19:34

My 40's go in a launcher not on a rail!

Have you ever seen the triple launcher? 3 xm203's on a rifle all loaded with kings! :)

Danke August 16th, 2013 19:38

There's that guy; Mean Joe Green. He hands out 40mm rails and stuff.

EpicWindz August 16th, 2013 19:58

No, I just want to know where to buy different.. Erm.. These things, so I can attach a fore grip and such..http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/17/ygu3uzet.jpg. Those things... New ones.. That's all. No made launcher, more of a flamethrower or under barrel shotgun kind of guy..

ThunderCactus August 16th, 2013 20:46

Lol
Its called a "RIS" for reference sake
Also, its not limited to just NATO

L473ncy August 16th, 2013 20:59

So do you want like a Weaver rail system that attaches to the handguard (ie. http://img.diytrade.com/cdimg/158521...ls_2pc_Kit.jpg) or like totally replace with something like a Knights Arm. Co. (KAC) RIS?

EDIT: Knights not Kings.....

DustMagnet August 16th, 2013 21:40

If you have a battery in your handguard you will need to rewire it to the rear if you want to move to a full RIS handguard or free-float rail (or use a PEQ box battery case).

EpicWindz August 16th, 2013 21:49

Oh god, why is it so hard to do -.-

It's not.

pestobanana August 17th, 2013 12:26

Why don't you get a job so you don't have to freeload off everyone? If you want to know where to buy accessories, go to google. It's not hard to find. Hell scroll up and click on one of the google ads.

Airsoft rails are 20mm.
40mm rails are for toy trains.

If you can't afford parts, how do you pay for bbs and games?

He's 15, ignore

ThunderCactus August 17th, 2013 23:13

Well likely not having a solid full time job is a good excuse.
Anyway, seeing as you can't play anywhere, why would you need to borrow parts for anyway?

EpicWindz August 17th, 2013 23:51
