The stuff you see in the clip is the equipment we have released for Promo, there is far more, and the devices being kept in reserve are far more revolutionary than what you have seen in those clips, trust me. If anyone thinks I'm in any way exagerating they are in for a rude awakening.

Wolfgang May 31st, 2005 18:04

On the Keystone strike II forum there a thread for people who wants to come by plane. I hope you have rentals cause I wouldnt bring my AK on a plane. :)

Edit: Not that im going, but just in case some ppl were thinking of going by plane.

midgetspy May 31st, 2005 18:08

Flying with an AEG is no problem, it has been done many times before.

keep your thoughts as advice then. alot of people here have flown with AEG's. the airline does NOT care as long as its in an airline approved case with lock.

RAW May 31st, 2005 18:25

But rentals will be available from Xtreme- Tactics. Armalites and Hand K MP5s.

Wolfgang May 31st, 2005 18:38

Sorry, didnt want to sound rude or anything, I just wish I could go
Took the plane once when I was a kid so I wasnt aware of this.

SlipStream May 31st, 2005 19:36

video dont seem to work for me...it stops like 15 secs into the clip

RAW May 31st, 2005 19:42

Try the link Honest John provided we may be overusing Scarecrow's server.

Mantelope May 31st, 2005 19:47

For some reason, the ASC-hosted video is 450K or so, whereas the full one is apparently 11.3 megs. The image in the first post links to the full version.

made a mistake, fixed now

If ATREU is doing a road trip, he'll be passing through my town, maybe I'll see if I can tag along from here.

OH MY GOD! I want to go so bad. BC, lets get a crew togethor :)

zero delay June 12th, 2005 05:17

There are a few individuals from BC coming,

Deadeyes (kelowna)
LTK VIC (kelowna)
Hemmerling (kelowna)
Chef (kelowna)

Not sure if you recognize any of the usernames, but all the listed players are equiped with Multicam (which for such a new pattern, will be represented surprisingly well at the game )

Right now we are actively seeking CADpat equipped players, as we need to ballance out the teams to maintain game dynamics.

PaRkA July 9th, 2005 12:01

Me Me Im in Cadpat n All only if the group is big enough. Oh and does anyone know if theres a group from BC/Alberta Driving?

Gord (Frogman) July 12th, 2005 22:06

Unfortunately due to extreme flood conditions this game has been postponed until next year.

The RM of Woodlands in MB where the game was to be hosted is underwater, the worst flooded area in the province. If it were not for the floodway, more than 40% of Winnipeg would be under water, and experts are saying that the water levels rival the flood of the century back in 1997.

Official post:
(taken from: http://keystonestrike2.hyperboards3....77300&start=24)

'the game is officially POSTPONED. (not cancelled)

I think at this point it would be best, due to people and their school schedules, to postpone this till next year. I was thinking of the fall but the above concern will likely be pitfall for many of our guys currently signed up.

for those of you who want a refund PM me and I will get it back to you in a timely fashion. Please include details on how you wish it to be sent back. For those of you who want to wait your money will sit in the savings account and record of your payment will remain here as will this board. The progress of the game will certainly continue here and we will make this event bigger and badder for the wait.

I want to thank Valk for his help in finding an alternative location. The owner of that property wanted a DISGUSTING amount of money and we had to say "no thanks". We tried ... but it will be best to do it on my own property.

so dont be too sad. the game is still on! just a little more wait ....

CT'

Thank you.

Scarecrow July 12th, 2005 22:14

This is a good decision.

A game of this quality with the amount of work that has gone into the props and planning deserves to be played at the Ranch, run by CT without any preoccupations or worries.

I think I am speaking on behalf of a lot of us who signed up for this game when I say thanks for your efforts and we look forward to seeing this game next year. In the meantime our thoughts are with Davin and his family in dealing with the damage the flood has caused to his house and property.

Shugart July 12th, 2005 23:22

Is everyone safe overthere?

I hope the damage isn't too bad.

ValkXB70 July 13th, 2005 08:44

Everyone is safe, however the flooding has destroyed most of the farm land for the year. The damage is another story unto itself.

 All the money waisted on production...
I hope this don't happend too often!

ValkXB70 July 13th, 2005 11:28

No money is wasted really, the props are still usable for other games. Also there is talk of having some games at a different location, but they will not be as big as KS2 would have been.

Kid January 14th, 2006 20:21

Anyway, keystone site is down... what's happening with it?

RAW January 14th, 2006 20:31

I'm thinking it may happen this year. It all depends on the contidion of Charlie Tango's field. There has been constant development of weapons and props all winter.

ValkXB70 January 14th, 2006 21:06

Plus a possiblility of a couple of Iltis's (or would it be Ilti??).

MacRae January 16th, 2006 16:16

stay tuned folks! this will happen this year no matter WHAT> if my field is not dry I have secured a second location on private land. watch for the new site!

Neverhood January 16th, 2006 19:17

In a way I'm kinda glad it got cancelled last year, now that I'm into airsoft I'll be able to participate and not just hear about how great it was lol.

Skruface January 16th, 2006 19:33

I guess we should change the topic title to "Keystone Strike 2.1".

SCG48 January 16th, 2006 20:23

I would like to know in advance so I can book the time off and perhaps a few of us can attend.

If the camo restrictions are the same as what was set for last years flooded out game, then flecktarn doesn't have a home.
Canadian team- OD, Cadpat.
US team-Marpat, Woodland, Multicam, and DPM.

OKay, where is all the info for when where howmuch and can I use a drop harness off that chopper? ((Okay I know the pilot will more than likely refuse because its A. A 206 ((L2?)) and B. If anything went wrong... it'd hurt... but it sure would have been fun :D))

BTW the link that MEAT had in that very first post won't work.

Pilot's not gonna let anyone rappel out of the bird. We asked last year with a bunch of guys who are rope-qualified with a bunch of time in the CF. Short answer - not gonna happen. The bird is for insert/dustoff only.

TANK71 March 23rd, 2006 01:27

Traditionally, it's August Long, to give out-of-towners time to travel.

gandar March 23rd, 2006 20:05

Damn, I don't know if I can make that one.... :( If it was the end of August I could make it.... but probably not the first, I'll still be in Gagetown on course.... Shit. I was really looking forward to this last year and making it this year.... We'll see if I show up as time passes. If not, good hunting to all involved. Thanks Skruface.

Well, like I said A. its a 206 L2 from what I could see ((There was four seats in the rear wasn't there? Gonna have to recheck, but I know its not the L3 because the landing struts are too narrow and the cargo compartment is too short (((under the tailboom))) )) the craft wouldn't be able to support people dangling from it with out proper balance rigging. Or you'd have to perfect balance two repellers at the same time. As well its not the best platform for head room. And I did state it was hypothetical ((sp?)) and that I knew the pilot would say no, hell I would say No, and my uncle doesn't let me near his Pawn-E no more because that aircraft is MUCH more manueverable than he'll let on :D

With enough people pre-registered for up-front cash, CT also has the ability to get a Huey....the answer is/was still no.

mykerush March 26th, 2006 09:22

OK Dracheuos we get it. You know about helicopters. We don't need a goddamn lecture. You're the smartest person I know ok.

wolfman01 April 1st, 2006 17:50

So after all that...Is there a game for sure?

Darklen April 1st, 2006 20:05

Yes, it would be nice to have this confirmed asap as many of us need to get our travel & time off requests in soon. Many are probably at the point of no return as far as booking time off goes. The signup forums for Keystone are still down and no replacement has been posted up anywhere that I've found.

There's only 4 months to go until August Long guys. We need a place to do sign ups!

Well if that were the case, then i guess no one would attend any game.
We still need to have a fixed date so we can commit time.I will not cancel until there is no game to play.Thats for sure. Alot of people are asking in Calgary, big time. But I guess I'm pesturing because alot of doubt is starting to shadow over people on this game.Just give us a place to sign up and I'm in :-D

Well, that is the case. And for some reason people are still attending games....

Do you even know what happened last year? The field got flooded and the game was cancelled. All I was trying to say is that nothing is for sure because of some things we can not control. You're post doesnt really make much sense.

paranoid987 April 2nd, 2006 03:56

August long weekend would be a good bet to book off for what has floated around in the past.

wolfman01 April 2nd, 2006 05:01

Yeah I was on red team..Thanks for that. Now if you would let the orginizers answer that would be great.

Prowler April 2nd, 2006 07:47

Is there any support for airsofters in the farther provinces who wish to attend? Group road trips perhapse? anything is good I guess. Even if I have to help organize it. Which I honestly don't want to do unless there is a large ammount of support. Of course safety and legal issues are always a big concern as far as these things go.

I would rather NOT travel by plane with all of my gear.

We honestly need an airsoft convention.

Blackthorne April 2nd, 2006 10:14

Guys, timing the release date of an event like this is critical. If you start it off too soon it's just as bad as if you let it out of the bag too late.

It'll come, and it will be great. Just keep it stirring.

SockMonkey April 2nd, 2006 12:36

I will be flying in with all my kit and kaboodle. Ive got a family event n Dauphin a week after so if its the august long weekend Im in.

Well this shall be a great game, looking forward to meeting lot of new people and playing a great game of airsoft with you guys. Also, anyone have any thoughts about bringing their own vehicles into the game?

In the rules says we can use our own vehicles if we like but its at our own risk, since there will be damage. I've got an old dune buggy that all it needs is a new engine, so if i get that and get a trailer for it i will bring it along with me.

ValkXB70 April 8th, 2006 10:55

Ive got family living in that neck of the woods and they are talking about flooding agian this year, is the field at the same location that flooded last year?

Neverhood April 8th, 2006 12:27

There's always flooding this time of year in Manitoba, but by the time July rolls around it won't be something to worry about. (As long as we don't have a rainy year like last year  )

Also I believe CT has secured a secondary location in case we do get a rainy season.

Pvt.Snowball April 8th, 2006 18:17

yes that is true, they have secured some private land incase of flooding again this year, so this game is happenning no matter what.
