5 Attachment(s)
please help me identify this gun i have no clue whats the exact model its obviously a g36 but i need to know the entire model.

Its plastic and it was painted, it was tinted.

I am interested in buying this gun but the owner doesnt know exactly what it is.

Thanks

G36C... as for manufacturer you'd have to take it apart... some times the manufacturer is stamped on the gearbox or motor... other than that... I don't know how you can tell - just reference the type in a search engine...

If it's a Tokyo Marui - it'll be stamped on the heat sink on the bottom - but it will have the H&K and junk "stamped" into the plastic...

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 21:55

yeah but is it the kwa g36c?

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 21:58

Damn I dont have it with me im interested in buying it.
Idk if the seller would take it apart he used it for shooting clips/movie or something.

I dont think thats it cus he said he looked for marks or numbers and he was not able to find anything.

voorhees -FWA- May 3rd, 2011 21:59

KWA likes branding their gearboxes... they're easy enought to tear down to get the the gearbox to check...

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 22:02

Ok i could possible call him now but what will he be able to see on the gearbox to tell exactly what it is, sorry if some questions are stupid im getting into this im new :)

voorhees -FWA- May 3rd, 2011 22:08

I'm only sure about the V2 (M4) gearbox but I am sure that there will be a KWA stamp on the top part of the gearbox under the cylinder... maybe? lol.

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 22:08

Thanks a lot man ill call him to check out.

phloudernow May 3rd, 2011 22:22

im just gona go ahead and say its a JG G36 for no reason other than the fact its the most purchased airsoft gun on the market LOL

georgehutchison May 3rd, 2011 22:27

Its a KWA G-36. What other company includes a spare black magwell and sells it with a tinted magwell and receiver. I dont think anyone but KWA does that. To be exact I would call it a KWA G-36c imported by CAS.

Spawn28 May 3rd, 2011 22:28

Clear receiver and it was painted? Could be a SRC model as well

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 22:30

he said that he payed 380 for the gun extra ammo and the 2 scope that you see on the pic, but he purchased it from is uncle who actualed was a dealer so he may have made him a deal.

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 22:32

Im seriously hoping its a kwa but man i just called and he does not have a allen key to take the gun apart.

hollywood... May 3rd, 2011 22:36

looks like a JG

Redzephyr May 3rd, 2011 22:36

If it's an SRC, there should be an SRC stamp on the bottom of the pistol grip. Have him check.

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 22:38

He did check and he cant find any marking anywhere, i asked if he could take it apart and check the gearbox but he doesnt have a allen key..

: /

BloodSport May 3rd, 2011 22:42

Where/who did he buy it from? As in what store

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 22:55

yeah but the SRC doesnt even look the same does it?

Is uncle was a retailer but he isnt sure if he wants to talk to him right now (family trouble i guess)

georgehutchison May 3rd, 2011 22:57

KWA was the only company including a spare magwell I am sure. His picture clearly shows the gun has a black one and a spare tinted one.

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 22:59

Yes but i am predy sure he bought a other one with it seperatly.

How the hell can you tell the difference between the jg and the kwa without oppening it..

HeReigns May 3rd, 2011 23:03

Its a JG.
SRC has "warning refer to owners manual on the body along with a greyish metal charging handle.
KWA has an enlarged front foregrip to accomadate a larger battery.

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 23:07

ohhh yeah you are right the foregrip is small, so it is the JG

Thanks everyone

BloodSport May 3rd, 2011 23:10

What store is his uncle then, knowing who the retailer is would probably help narrow down the list of possible brands

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 23:13

i have no clue but the foregrip is small so im predy sure its a jg now.

But the jg isnt tinted right? all the video that i saw its not a tinted plastic...could it be possible that he swapped just the foregrip cus he liked the smaller one?

Spawn28 May 3rd, 2011 23:39

Anything is possible in the land of airsoft...

jerjerbinx May 3rd, 2011 23:43

Hehe yeah true.

ill wait for a possible call tomorow he said he would of maybe call is uncle or try to open it.
It looks a bit custom so thats why im thinking he may havechanged the foregrip i hope so : /
We will see i guess.

The Chad May 4th, 2011 08:20

Probably a VA gun. So...JG

Styrak May 4th, 2011 08:44

This discussion is very near useless without more details about the gun.

SuperCriollo May 4th, 2011 10:24

Ok I have a KWA G36c, the best way to know if its in fact a KWA without oppening it is by:
1. sheck the size of the front handguard.
2. takeout the magwell (easy) and see if the gearbox is black.
If you want to be 100% sure you would have to get to the gearbox, it is labeled.

jerjerbinx May 4th, 2011 11:32

I just talked to him and is uncle said it was a acm? idk nothing about that company is it good lol.

Thanks

scurvythepirate May 4th, 2011 11:39

ACM is a generic term as far as i know for a Chinese made AEG.
JG and ACM guns are on the relative same in terms of quality. ALthough that being said some JG's have been fantastic and some not. Im not sure of the quality of the JG G36C, but i've been told the newer models (2009+) are fairly good quality.
Enjoy your JG/ACM!

jerjerbinx May 4th, 2011 11:44

ok thanks,
Not sure ill buy it was more looking for a ca or kwa.

VooDooPeteK May 4th, 2011 12:09

what was this person asking for this gun cause that would also help with the Buy option.

If its cheap might be ok for something to work on

jerjerbinx May 4th, 2011 12:14

he was asking 350 which i bielive is way to much.
Even do he has a scope/red dot/case

What do you guys think would be a good offer for that gun.

I was considering offering him like 200 since its not realy the gun that im looking for

BloodSport May 4th, 2011 12:19

with out knowing a brand and such, I wouldnt offer more then $100 because for all you know it could be a BE brand and they sell for that much even here in Canada......

L473ncy May 4th, 2011 12:34

Note that AGM and ACM are not the same!

AGM = Airsoft Gun Manufacture(er?) (I don't know if the Engrish is there on purpose)
ACM = "All China Made" (Usually for low quality stuff ie. Okley, Abibas, Sqny) although it would be proper to say that Nike is ACM it's high quality enough that it's not considered ACM.

If it was AGM I don't know but $250-275 would seem like a fair price. If it's "ACM" then I'd be a bit wary about it since you don't really know where it's coming from and what kind of tolerances/QC there is on the factory that made it.

Given that it was tinted though and if it did come from China I'd predict it's a JG (VA/Velocity Arms "OEM" rebrand). If it came from Taiwan it could be SRC (Star Rainbow Company, I know a great name right?), or G&G "Guay Guay Airsoft".

have to agree for 350 you could get AVed and get something in the classifieds

even with an offer of $200, without knowing more about it you could walk into something that will cost you alot more just to get it game able

jerjerbinx May 4th, 2011 12:57

Im predy sure its a acm he seemed predy confident,

Damn if only he had a allen key to open it and see on the gear box....

I dont know if i should even make him a offer if its a acm....probably not.

PaddMadd May 4th, 2011 13:24

Is it possible that it could be one of those Techfast rebrands?

jerjerbinx May 4th, 2011 13:28

I have no clue the only way to be realy sure is probably to open it,

and he doesnt have the tools to do it so thats why i probably wont make a offer, i dont wanna buy it and find out its scrap.
