anyone??

have yet to scrim with mine, but I added a MS120sp so I should be around 400fps. Chronied it and im sub 200fps. word has it, the hopup is 3mm to far forward and needs a washer to seat it against the mechbox properly. Will report back when I get it right.

Can anyone with experience with these products help to answer my questions?

Thanks!

Ok,I will answer one of my own questions here,so other people could get the correct information.

STAR GP-30 Grenade Launcher will fit ICS AK74M with very little modification.

Just replace the small screw on the front fixing with some longer ones, then you are done.

problem seems to be the air seal. i took apart the mechbox again and check the piston head...not the best quality and it was dried out...same with the cylinder head. I lubed them up and FPS flew right up to 400fps. Still, I ordered a new piston head and nozzel.

Battery?

I’ve been wanting to get the AK-74M for a while and am going to order it as soon as I know exactly what I want to get with it, I was just wondering... Would an 8.4V 3600mA Large Battery work? Or should I go with one that is less powerful?

Thanks

Hi i jsut got my ICS AK 74M and the screw holding the grip covering the moter was loose but i didn't notice it. The screw is long gone, so i took one from were the stock is held on because it seemed to be ok with jsut one since the stock snaps in. after i screwed that in it and hook the battery back up and shoot. the thing makes a wired noise and just stops. so i took the motor mount apart and the motor looks ok but there is a tiny plate that falls out and i soon find that the onld screw holding the grip over the moter had been stripped right off and i had screwed the stripped piece right up and this is what i beleive happened since there were scratch marks on the little plate. so then i soon find that i have blown a fuse, i thought my motor was fried can any one explain this to me??

Edit, apparently PO scope (civi version of PSO1) fits ICS AK. I just found some pics of the gun with PO scope on it. Doesn't make any sence to me since both scopes are made for the same side rail as far as I know.

Apparently it's a little smaller and thinner than the real steel one, but with some adjustment on the scope itself it will work. Also, in the review thread on Red Alliance, there is a picture of one with a PK-AS mounted on the stock rail.

I have a theory that ICS may have fixed the rail in the recent batch of guns.

I found an 8.4 3600 nimh fit with a little persuasion, 9.6 large was out of the question though.

Thanks, so I'm guessing that it would be less risky just getting an 8.4V 3300mA instead? Or is the 3600mA still the way to go, exactly how much persuasion are you talking about? :hammer:

Greylocks August 9th, 2006 19:25

If you find an 8.4, 2000mah battery, it will work. Even a 1700mah will work. No need to go overboard.

When you reach that much MAH capacity, sometimes the cells of the battery pack a a bit larger, so they dont fit well inside the stock. 9.6 volts wont fit at all.
He means he had to force his battery in there.

Before you go on a spending spree, go through the age-verification process. And there are two gaming sites in the region you can visit.

Yes.Mine fits very well with a little adjustment.

Droc August 11th, 2006 09:19

i heard it just needs a tiny spacer to fit

Prowler August 11th, 2006 10:27

Got mine a couple of days ago and love it, whats the best lowcap magazine for a good fit into the ics body?

No major gripes so far, just waiting for a good game day to test here in BC but it's been kind of slow recently.

kalashnikov August 11th, 2006 10:54

So does this gun take the STAR 30 roud clips or not?
