If it had a spread pattern, it might be cool, but I'd imagine its just a rebarreled AEG, so not a shotgun lol.

No unfortunately. I messed around with the idea of trying to make it double or triple feed but I wasnt the only person thinking of that and all the info I found online from other people trying the same for other shotguns just said it was a jamming nightmare. I also tore down a crossman tri-shot (TM design) to see if I could salvage the hop-up and barrel but it uses a unique spring/ piston assembly and I would have had to build a whole new gearbox from scratch.. Possible in the future but for now but I dont have the facilities or welding exp so its a cosmetic saiga only. Still better than the rest Ive seen (basically just the RW crappy custom and a gbb that never made it off the workbench afaik), so Im content for now.

A guy i know in the states built a Saiga and to replicate the shotgun effect dropped in a polarstar.

Set at max rate of fire with 8 shot bursts per trigger pull and he uses a bag of mixed weight bbs.

Nimble May 14th, 2013 22:06

Whats polarstar? Im curious, tried looking it up but all I found was a parts company.. I did consider using a bag of mixweight for it once I get it fully operational (need a new motor).. Im still seriously considering building a new gearbox too that can handle the tri-shot hop-up. I just need to figure out the dimensions and have it machined. The piston chamber is only a bit bigger than the regular V3 chamber.

polarstar is a electromagnetic gearbox manufacturer. They make gearboxes in v2,v3,m249, m240 flavours

I think the word you're looking for is electropneumatic. Unless polarstar developped an airsoft railgun.

Ill check the system out. Id really like to make it as shotgunlike as humanly possible. Thanks!

My Spetsnaz kit loosely based from the early 2000's. There are some obvious inaccuracies :P. These guys probably didn't rock AKS74U's.. and I have no idea if any of them use M23 rigs.. mostly old-school SPOSN stuff.
