So anything further on Zulu 1/Tier 1?

They are back up listing an event in May in Golden B.C.

Since this thread started has anyone met them, seen them at a game, attended an event they organized?

I'm interested in whether there's any new information. Some guys asked me about it this past weekend and I just told them what I knew.

Did you get your mattress upstairs?

The organizer is a really switched on fellow who has recently emigrated from the UK and is trying to bring european style gaming to Canada. Unfortunately the community had a bad case of "ugh! change is bad, CHANGE IS BAD!" and things went down hill from there.

I've personally had this fellow over for a cuppa and chatted at length about what he is trying to pull off and the long term goals; he is legit.

That's a positive uptick!

Conker January 20th, 2014 23:20

I don't think people were "huh change is bad". More like "this is too good to be true" which, especially coming from someone unknown, generally means either being disappointed or scammed.

But I'm really glad to read this Kokanee. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Still in.

I have also met with the organizer and this is legit. We have talked at great length and the community should give this a try. You will be very happy you did.

I'm interested in attending, but much like everything else it will depend on my work schedule and where the finances sit. Definitely looks/sounds like a blast, and after hearing some friends may migrate themselves north for the event....well, all the more reason to be there!

Unsung Hero January 24th, 2014 08:14

Do we have a head count at all as to who has committed to attending? Is the cut off for payment still January 31st?

J-Man19 January 30th, 2014 01:51

I'll wait for the AAR and decide if I make it to the next game.

Golden in may, no thanks. Crappy weather cold mountain nights and mosquitos pass.

skydiver March 27th, 2014 21:26

A few of us from our team are going to check it out. Looks like it'll be interesting.

Kimbo May 18th, 2014 23:27

This game was really great. The Tier 1 /Zulu guys are a really switched on group who brought their real world trainng and experience to put together a very good Milsim.

Were going to post up an AAR in the next day or so. So tired.
