How was the PGC Pro-Win 8mm fitting in the Body ? lot of work to do or just fit it in the sock VFC body ?

there is some grinding needed. if you look at the pic you cn see once area where i had to remove quite a bit. the back wall of the reciver extension.
this was kind of a probem since the buffer tube bolt threads into a treaded portion inside the extension. there is a nice work around i figured out, which also give you room to put a 11.1v 1200mAh 20C LiPo battery inside the buffer tube.

if you want more detailed info and pictures explaining all the mods made, than just PM me.

just some quick info. the hop-up sleeves that come with the Pro-Win gear box, throw them out. the BB feed side is too narrow and will not feed BBs into the hop-up correctly, so you will strip your piston if you use them.
also the aluminum airseal nozzle is 1.2mm too long and will also cause problems. you can either file/grind the front down to the correct size or replace it with an after market one. i would recommend the Modify Airseal nozzle. i'll have more info in the write up im doing on the modifications needed.

It's finally done (cosmetically) and working again, after being out of commission for a while. Not a huge change since the last pic except now it sports a real steel EOTech 552 (will add a magnifier soon) and a 110 lumen G&P flashlight. Internally, it's now got a Guarder reinforced mechbox shell, Modify bearing spring guide, piston, piston head, cylinder head, tappet plate and nozzle, a Prometheus MS110SP spring, the stock JG gears, and unknown metal bushings. The hopup is a Guarder clear sleeve. The gun shoots 385-395 fps with .2g BBs.

I'm on the hunt for a metal receiver to complete it, and seriously considering going back to a crane stock, but this time, the Guarder crane stock like I have on my C7A2. I do love the full stock look and feel better, but it's a bit difficult to shoulder the gun properly while wearing my CIRAS vest, so the move would be for the sake of practicality rather than my personal preference for look.

Yea, my Hk416 had a full stock too and I wouldn't trade that for a crane stock. The JG 416 has lots of power even at stock configuration so although I must admit the EOTECH looks darn good on it I had an ELCAN on mine. Anyhow, another awesome looking gun Crunch, now show us more of that C7 project of yours.:)

I'm still debating the stock. I've rearranged my CIRAS a bit and it makes a full stock easier to shoulder now than it used to be. And I do love having it powered by a beefy 9.6V 3300 mAh large battery. I'm quite torn. I love the look and feel of it as it is now. But I do like the practicality of a crane stock. Once I field the gun the weekend and get a chance to really put it through its paces, I'll get a better idea of what I want to do with it.

And in case anyone is wondering, the former owner of the EOTech had painted it tan while he was deployed, and stripped most of the paint off before selling it. I haven't gotten around to taking the canopy off and cleaning the rest of the paint off yet.

And the irony of this project - even with the upgrades to the gun, the EOTech is still worth more than the gun it sits on... :p
