I have no Eagle or TT in Multi-Cam, but I do have alot of HSGI, TAD, Drop Zone, Condor and a few other clone pouches, and the name-brand stuff is quite close if not bang on. But those guys use Crye fabric or licensed patterns. The clone stuff is all over the place.

The Propper is really close, I have pictures on disc that were saved when my old computer crashed, if I can install them on this one I'll upload them.

k thanks for the input. it is much appreciated! basically, to sum up what you just said, if i buy known name brands, i shouldn't have to worry.

Crunchmeister April 25th, 2009 15:07

From what I've seen, Huang MC stuff is actually damn good for the price. Colour-wise, it's damn close to the real thing... I wouldn't have any qualms with buying more of his stuff.

kelebay April 25th, 2009 15:21

If anyone has any multicam questions, or are just interested in the pattern, I'd reccomend joing the multicam addict forum, all sorts of pictures comparisons and reviews of different types of Multicam (CP, propper, tru-spec, etc) <www.multicamaddict.com>

Agreed.

The only complaint I have about his combat set is that the stretchy material is a bit too thin and has a tendancy to get threads pulled out under light use. Normal use, the stitching, especially under the arms, can come undone. It had Cordura in the right places, the colours are good, the zippers are good, the pads are good.

But if you look at a real Crye set that had 4-5 years of use, vs. a Huang set that has 1 year of use, you can see the difference in wear.

But, you are not paying $500+++ for a Huang set.

Manufacturers who use real Multi-Cam:

In total agreement there. For the price you pay, you're getting good product, but you can't expect it to have the same longevity of the real stuff that costs 5x as much. It's a good cost / performance alternative for the casual airsoft player that will wear it a few times a year for outdoor games. And as you said, it has the cordura in all the right places to help with longevity too.

For someone more hardcore that will put a lot of wear on their gear, it won't last as long as the real deal. If that's what you intend to do, either get the real deal, or expect to replace your BDU at least ever couple of years.

In my case, the Huang one is a good choice. I play a 50-50 mix of indoors / outdoors, and have multiple camo patterns, so my MC gear won't see more than 4 or 5 uses in a year at most. So it makes that a very attractive choice for me.

Overall, I give Huang's products 2 big thumbs up. I have several of his items, including his high quality CB CIRAS, DBoys C8 receiver, 552 replica, and am totally happy with all of it to date. I sometimes find little deficiencies, but most are minor and easy to deal with.

i run eagle and tt as well as hsgi like brad. all of them are great however from my experience tt uses black asseccorries, tt uses od asseccorries but only eagle uses tan accessories on their equipment. but aside from the furnashings theyre multicam is all the same.

many of my club members run huangcam and its great. looks good, lasty fairly well (youll get 2 seasons out of em no problem) they dont white out like some cheaper brands and they are well stitched. the knee pads are cheap (plasticy rather than rubber like crye) but that doesnt really deminish from it, they do the same job, they just score up easier. in the preceeding photos, my crye uniform is from 2006, the huangcam sets are from 2008. and as mac said you can see a difference. i use mine rigourously and after 3,4 years theyre faded but next to huangcam after 1year the durability is noticable. but i totally reccommend huangcam bdus, the only actual complaint that is more than just nit picking, is the sizing is bonkers.

hungcam far left, crye third in, huangcam fourth in, dropzone six in, propper far right

left huangcam, center crye, righ propper

dropzone left, huangcam right
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...4-19-09022.jpg
crye left, huangcam right
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...4-19-09075.jpg

crye left, propper right

so the huang cam is fine, i reccommend it. its the closest your going to get for the money. there are companies that make crye style out of cp fabric, but theyre still expensive. huang cam you can buy a new set each season for 3 years before itll cost the same as crye.

kelebay April 25th, 2009 19:56

Swatt, thanks for the comparison pics. I may get a pair of huang`s MC seeing as until i`m 18 its paintabll for me, so Might as well get a cheaper set since either will get stained.

Hash Vapor April 25th, 2009 21:08

It only stains if you let it dry into the fabric.

kelebay April 25th, 2009 21:16

no, it depends on the fill quality. Specifically with the cheaper bright paints, they stain, I wash my hits off within an hour after I get off the field, but the cheaper fills use dyes that don't wash out well.

swatt13 April 25th, 2009 21:26

especially pink and yellow, wich seem to be th cheap paints color choice. when i use to play tourney ball i use midnight paint exclusivley, thick and gooey, but unfortunatly stained instantly, even your skin.

Yeah, recession!!

we tried to order some and you can not check out with an international order. They said to e-mail them the order after a phone call but after 3 separate e-mails over a 2 week period they don't seem to interested in shipping to Canada...

kelebay April 25th, 2009 22:46

Trevor, If you want CP, join multicam addict forum, and contact Mighty Mints, he ships it out for about $475 USD.

How recently was this? I know they shut down all international orders years ago, then all civillian sales last year or so.

You can find quite a bit of it on e-Bay right now.
