Did the guy say anything about it being broken? Or what. I kind of remember you saying something about it being completely new?

Pop it open and see if there are any internal issues.

Oh yeah, that's a GREAT idea for a guy who knows nothing about airsoft guns, and given the fact that the PSG1 has the most complex mechbox out there.

Check and make sure battery is connected right...
If all else fails, call up the doc and say your sick.. >.< I need a doc in London sometime soon :(

Take pics if you can, will help too.

When you press the trigger does it "click" at all? Do you hear anything? If not then you should check to see if the fuse is blown which should be in the stock near where you connected the battery.

djbordie December 3rd, 2007 20:23

no click or noises at all...fuze seems to be fine..its connection is solid...but that isnt alwasy the case with fuzes
the battery took 550mah...
so ya...this blows
it has to have a mech box, i just weighed it and it matched the weight in the specs

Donster December 3rd, 2007 20:29

is the battery not strong enough? what voltage is it?

djbordie December 3rd, 2007 20:32

600 mah
8.4v
tokyo marui
long & thin
only part in english "AK" with some japanese next to it.
if its an AK47 bat, i read they are compatible

GrieverX December 3rd, 2007 20:34

Even if the mechbox is seized or the battery is not strong enough you still should at least hear something when you attempt to fire it after pulling the trigger.
If you do not hear anything at all, then I'm inclined to believe it must be an electrical problem, maybe a loose connection somewhere.

djbordie December 3rd, 2007 20:36

yes i agree, i know my rc cars and led lightsabers (lol)
i hope it electrical

im guessing the electrical components are all in the but?

djbordie December 3rd, 2007 20:39

ohhh weak
reall weak
well your from markham, where is the nearest doc??

GrieverX December 3rd, 2007 20:42

I really wouldn't suggest trying to go directly into your mechbox by yourself if it is your first time. I think you would be better off seeing if you can get a local experienced player in the Toronto area to help you.

That being said, you could try checking the connections on the motor of your gun. Check a guide and take down the gun to the point where you have the mechbox and the motor in one piece, but don't attempt to open the mechbox itself.

djbordie December 3rd, 2007 20:44

will do cheerrs

TokyoSeven December 3rd, 2007 21:13

If you dont hear anything while listening very closey and pulling the trigger, I fear that you may have a mechbox issue. Unfortunetly I myself have no experience with the psg mechbox. Hopefully there is a gun doc in your area who can help you out.

Apoc_ December 3rd, 2007 21:25

G'day,

You have to work the charging handle the 1st time to cock and "chamber" it, but even without that you should hear a relatively loud click and a buzz if everything else is working. On my PSG-1 even a 99% dead battery will do that much.

Cassius December 3rd, 2007 21:37

For how long did you charge the battery?

EDIT: Completely unrelated but Apoc, do you have a front view pic of that chick on your website? just asking...
