Isnt KSC owned by kwa? From what i remember KWA basically started the whole airsoft scene
EDIT:
http://www.airsocom.com/acatalog/KWA...facturing.html
I just found this, So if im reading this right the only reason japan guys are more expensive is because they are exported from Taiwan to japan and then here.

No. KSC is NOT owned by KWA. The article doesn't say that anywhere.

From what I've seen, KWA has a higher percentage of lemons... I've never heard of a KSC lemon.

dodger_me October 22nd, 2007 02:09

Lol... I have never owned/used a KWA or KSC im join doing some quick research. Your probably right

lykurgus October 22nd, 2007 18:27

from what ive read, all ksc pistols are produced in taiwan, but some are sent to japan for some extra QC, and thats the main difference.

BBS October 22nd, 2007 18:32

most KSC guns imported here are taiwan versions. If you'd put them side by side, you can't tell the difference in terms of quality and performance. Taiwan Versions are WAY cheaper.

nor i, but is you get the USP then DO NOT use propane without a metal slide, unlike the KSC glocks that have a metal reinforcement at the front of the slide, the USP's dont

metal reinforcement on the glock

what happened after 10 mags worth of propane on the USP

why KSC didnt put the reinforcment on the USPs aswell is beyond me.

Since noones said it yet, japan version of ksc are mearly taiwan versions sent off for quality control & stammped jasg on the side of the gun.

One guy on these boards bought a glock 23f (Taiwan) due to the finikeyness of the full auto gbbs it was indeed a lemon.
Lucky for him it got fixed easily & quickly, since then it has ran flawlessly.

Personally i've bought 3 ksc g19's all taiwan version & not one lemon.

kjw is the one you should worry about lemons with

Both are assembled in Taiwan from Japanese made parts, but the ones that bear the JASG stamp (usually on the frame somewhere) means a select batch were sent back to KSC in Japan for a second round of QC, so it means dual QC as opposed to single QC, hence the higher price tag on Japan KSC guns. Incidentally, from some stroke of luck, I own three KSC G19s, one KSC M11A1 and an older KSC MK23. All bought used, only one KSC G19 didn't have the JASG stamp, all the rest were inspected a second time before being shipped to retailers.

Not sure where the USP is stamped, but the Glocks are stamped in the horizontal light attachment rail (if looking at the bottom with muzle pointed up), the M11A1 is stamped at the bottom of the grip at the front, and I think the JASG is marked on the trigger guard of the MK23, will have to take a look if anyone needs the info.

I beg to differ, I've had 5 KJW guns now (two glocks, 2 beretta's and one usp) and my third Beretta is currently in the mail on it's way to me and I've NEVER had a problem with any of the guns! AND they come full metal to boot! The internals are perfectly fine! KJW makes good, quality guns IMO. Great buy for the money.

Now the MAGS are a different story. I've heard that they tend to leak, almost all of them. I've had 2 leak, I fixed them with some teflon tape around the bottom seal, then screwed it back together and it holds perfectly fine. Going on 8 months now with the teflon tape and not a single leak. People trash KJW all the time, but I swear by them.

I can pretty much guarantee you that you wont regret it. Great internals, full metal build? Can't go wrong.

It's not the fill valve that leaks, it's the actual seal around the bottom of the mag. All you have to do IF it leaks (again, only 2 or my 13 or 14 mags have ever leaked) is pop off the bottom plate, remove the screw, take out the bottom of the mag, put on a nice layer of teflon tape, pop it back in, screw it back together and DONE! Teflon tape is like what, a dollar or two?

I haven't had a problem with my KJW P229, unlike other guns. The only problem, like matt says, is the mags. For mine, the main o-ring needed replacing twice, because I didn't store it with gas in it, twice.

That'll do it =P I clean and oil my mags and guns (pistols anyway) every 7 mags and after every game, so I've only ever had the two leak and the two mags that leaked were used, so chances are the previous owner didn't take the best care of them.

KWA and KSC are different brands but are made in the same factory.

Same guns, same parts except for the quality control. KSC are very thorough and get sent back to Japan for another test.

The KSC JAPAN are assembled in Japan.
But yes there are KSC TAIWAN and KSC JAPAN.

KWA is a diff story.

Don't ever buy KJ unless you want to throw your money away, VERY rarely do KJ guns survive past 3 months of heavy usage.
Garbage.
