Depends, how old are you?

IRONSIGHT September 6th, 2007 15:23

I would call your creditcard company right now regardless, and cancell the payment. You have nothing to lose by doing this, and will save yourself a lot of bullsh#*! later. If the store you ordered from is cancelling the order, they should have no problem with you doing this.

SINN September 6th, 2007 15:23

you should get a cancellation number or something from them saying you cancelled the order. It helps the CC company fight them if they put it through anyway. The CC company could only help you then if you didnt receive goods, but if they prove they shipped..you are toast..Otherwise you could end up with the bill because you gave it to them, and its a verbal deal. You can't just put a stop payment on your CC like a cheque. It is the same as using cash. You already gave the store the okay.

in the words of TPB..... you fucked up Rick

canadianoy September 6th, 2007 15:27

Well, I'm 17 and my mom let me use her credit card to buy it. So right now I guess I should call back and ask for a cancellation number?

surebet September 6th, 2007 15:31

Actually, you can't do shit, since you are not the CC holder. Have your mom deal with it.

*puts flashlight under his face*

Oh, and on a side note, if the package goes through and gets siezed, since your mom's name will be on it, she might get into a whole slew of legal problems. Hope she doesn't need to leave the country for the next 7 years...

*passes the light to another ASCer*

I just called back again, but the new guy I just talked to seems a lot more legeit. He checked up on my name and asked if I ordered the ___________ gun. Said he can't ship to Canada so I asked him to cancel it. He said it won't be shipped and the money will be refunded in 48 hours.

I'll get in huge supershit if it goes go through because my parents are going on vacation in 4 days.....

edit: omg it actually got cancelled right away.

I don't know what was up with the first guy I called. He didnt' even cancel it when I asked him to. He even asked me if I knew anyone near the border and he called me "bro" several times. What the heck???

Good thing I called back and talked to a guy that seemed more professional.

so not only did you screw up but due to your age you are trying to circumvent Canadian Law?
This is why this is an ADULT's sport; you don't have the mental capacity to wait months to be 18 to play?
Does your MOMMY know that if this order went through that she would have been illegally importing a restricted item into Canada, a federally chargable offence?

mommy's credit card + stupid 17 yr old child = mommy in jail.

canadianoy September 6th, 2007 15:41

Yes, it's my fault. I didn't do my research enough and I'm sorry. But the order is cancelled now. I'm glad I found out about this though...I learnt my lessong I guess...

until you buy a gun from some asshat here in canada that doesn't care that you are a child

you can prove that you learnt your lesson by waiting until you are 18, the community (the guys you are going to play with/against) are a lot more accepting if you haven't put our sport at risk

It would involve rubber gloves, a spatchula, and gravy.
