I've got the same radio as Droc, the 370, but are old and well used. BK has newer and nicer radios.

Hey Eddie, I have some new IASUS NT Sniper PRO's with the Kenwood dual-pin plugs. Shoot me a msg on msn if you would like to check it out.

Icom and Kenwood are basically wired backwards to each other. The keying ground is also a little different. The spacing between the pins is different. Kenwood also requires a small diode on their keying line.
I have both radios, Icoms and Abells (Kenwood knockoffs). For a headset I went with an Otto Breeze that Bigmatty grabbed from eBay for $12. I removed the drop cord and replaced it with the wiring from a Radio Shack headset ($25). This headset incorporates a PTT button, 2 level vox (if you're into that), volume control and an auxilliary audio input which I use for my MP3 player (Batman's idea. Makes for less boring regen times). The Radio Shack wiring is set up for use with the Icom out of the box. When I switched over to the Kenwood radios I rewired the Radio Shack wiring to match the Kenwood configuration. Not hard to do, but I figured it'll be a hassle to keep switching back and forth like that, so I went back to the standard Icom wiring and just made an adapter for the Kenwood radios.
I really hated having a wire running from my head to wherever I put the radio, so I went one step further and tore apart a little bluetooth cell phone headset. I hooked up the guts of the headset to the Otto, and the guts of the receiver to the PTT/volume control box from the Radio Shack wiring, and now I have an awesome little wire free headset. The control box has the only wire needed, and it's much easier attaching it to the front of my shirt or somewhere else convenient.
Not to be a prick but no I won't do this for you. If you want a setup like this, join the army and become an electronics tech 8)

Guys, I have military RACAL headset wit 6pin military plug. Can I change this plug and put kenwood 2 pin plug? Is it gonna work with with navcomm or midland uhf radio? I'm worried that there will be impedance problem.
