one last question, how are the new shorty mags faring? I heard some scuttlebutt about the VSR10 mags by Gp and am hoping there are not issues with the CA ones...any loading problems or whatnot? how do they release? looks like a button on the underside...

The shorty mags are working really well. No jams so far. The only thing I noticed is when you load to full capacity of 22 rounds, you must first cock the action then insert the mag.

If you insert a full 22 round mag into the gun, you won't be able to cock the action.

How hard is the pumping action? I'd figure with such a high tension spring it be somewhat tiresome.
