One thing that I don't like about the Canadian buttons is that they've got a polished finish. Look at the pics that mctaz took and you'll see that the British ones don't shine while the Canadian ones do.

If you have a friend in the army they should have been issued a sewing kit with extra buttons, maybe you could talk them in to giving you some.

If we lose a button on our combats, we either get them exchanged or soldier it out. If your missing alot of buttons, then your fairly screwed if you got stuff in your pockets and your doing bounds.

Black Hawk try with paint solvent (not acrilic) or with a sponge.
