l use pmc mag on my we ak74u, I also like the way it looks. But the mag insert is not as smooth as the original mag, you may have to modify a bit on top of the bb feeding lip.

I've got a noob question.

Would it be awkward to use those PMC mags on the WE74 model?

My limited understanding is that the AK74 chambers 5.56 round, while the AK47 uses the 7.63 rounds.

I think the metal mags look great on the WE74, but I'm also aiming for an accurate representation.

Perhaps there is a derivative of the 74 model that accepts the 7.63 I'm not aware of??

Enlighten me!

Can someone please post pictures on how-to install a new RA-Tech trigger group?

Would be appreciated...

OK I just picked up the BNIB WE PMC + 2 spare PMC mags. Stock mag didn't work; gased it up, disabled open bolt on empty feature, fired, nada...will be returning to seller to fix this issue since the 2 spare mags fired fine. Tried it today...none of them work now. Gased them up, 1 of the spare mags now sounds like it's leaking.

Honestly, I had such high hopes...its a beauty of a gun.

I can do one this week if there isn't a guide posted elsewhere... Pretty simple swap. ALOT easier than an AR trigger group lol

Rommen - Thanks, that would be VERY much appreciated.

Anxiously awaiting pics :)

ohh I like the polished bolt-nice!

before you return them, make sure something first. If you enable the empty bolt lock feature, after you shot empty a mag and reload bb's, you have to move a pin down that right beside the gas release valve everytime, not the top switch, if not, that pin wouldn't go down to let you fire cause that is the design. Check the Manuel you'll see.

Can anyone tell me what the purpose of the lever is behind the site in the attached picture (AK PMC). It looks like it might lock something to the top rail, or its simply decoration to appear like the real steel.

Gas tube release cam on the RS .. no idea if it works on this one as same ..or if it's just there for aesthetics

Ah good to know, thanks. Purely asthetics then, as the gas tube just sort of pops out and doesn't attach to anything internally.

I did the trigger group swap guide today. All pics and notes are taken, I'll throw them up later today or tomorrow.

Wish I made it home early enough to try it...frigging public transit, will give it a try tomorrow.

I made a separate thread for the RATech trigger installation guide, felt it deserved it. There's alot of pictures, it should be done by tomorrow though

AK-74Us never had wooden grips, polished bolts, and used 74 mags not 47 mags. Did you try to make it look unrealistic on purpose?
